The car model of the Chinese brand, Jaecoo (belonging to Chery) will be on sale at the end of 2023, competing with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
A representative of the Chery brand said that the company will import and sell the Jaecoo 7 at the same time as the Omoda 5 at the end of 2023. The Jaecoo 7 is a B-size car but is slightly larger than the Omoda 5. Because there are no technical specifications yet, it is unclear whether the car is B or B+.
Jaecoo is a new brand established by Chery and will make its public debut at the 2023 Shanghai Motor Show, one of the world's largest auto shows, taking place from April 19-28.
A representative of the Chinese car company said that the Jaecoo brand will share the showroom system with Omoda. Omoda and Jaecoo distributors officially authorized by Chery will be present in three major cities: Hanoi , Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
As for Jaecoo 7, similar to Omoda 5, it will be imported first, then assembled domestically. VnExpress 's source said that Chery will cooperate with a large corporation in Hanoi, with a factory located in a northern province.
Both upcoming models of the two Chery brands are in the small CUV segment, which has grown rapidly and attracted a series of car manufacturers to compete in recent years.
