Judo brings home 2 national gold medals.

On the afternoon of April 2nd, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – announced that the Binh Thuan Judo team had brought home 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 2 bronze medals for the province at the 2024 National Judo Club Championship held in Bac Ninh .

Taking place from March 28th to April 2nd, the event featured nearly 220 athletes from 25 provinces and cities nationwide. Among them, Binh Thuan won two gold medals: Nguyen Thanh Hoan in the men's 66kg category and Nguyen Nhac Nhu An in the women's 48kg category . The silver medal went to Le Thi My Hien in the women's 48kg category . The bronze medal was won by Nguyen Van Tinh in the men 's 60kg category , and the bronze medal in the men's team event was won by Phan Ngo Truong Kha, Nguyen Van Tinh, Dang Thanh Thuan, Le Truong Vu, and Phan Ngoc Vinh.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also added: Binh Thuan mainly participated with young athletes , but they made great efforts and achieved very promising results. With this young force being invested in, it is hoped that at the 10th National Sports Games in 2026, the Judo team will conquer many new achievements.

In the end, Binh Thuan 1 team ranked 5th out of 28 in the overall medal standings , while Ho Chi Minh City 1 excellently secured first place overall with 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals; Ba Ria - Vung Tau came second overall with 3 gold medals and 3 bronze medals; and Dong Thap 1 finished third overall with 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals.
