Arsenal's transfer plans hit a snag

Arsenal may have to turn to Gyokeres because Sesko's salary demands are too high.

Coach Mikel Arteta is desperate to sign a number 9 striker this summer. Sporting Director Andrea Berta is in talks with Sesko and is also targeting Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres.

Arteta sees Sesko as a big signing this summer, and Arsenal are willing to pay Leipzig £70m. However, Goal has revealed that Sesko's salary demands are much higher than the club's intended salary, which could change Arsenal's plans.

Arsenal have also struggled to sign Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi. Guehi wants regular first-team football and has asked Arteta to guarantee it if he moves to London. With Jorginho leaving the Emirates on a free transfer and Thomas Partey's future uncertain, Arsenal are in need of a quality defensive midfielder and Zubimendi is the perfect fit.
