Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan attended.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the role of Dong A University in training quality human resources, especially in the professions the city is aiming for.

Dong A University has made a strong mark in the fields of innovative research, international cooperation, student exchange, and human resource contribution to the city and the country.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan suggested that, in the context of Da Nang city implementing a two-level local government, with new space and room for development, requiring large human resources, the school needs to continue to concretize Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW dated November 4, 2013 of the 11th Party Central Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

At the same time, continue to innovate training programs and international cooperation to affirm the role, vision and mission in the career of university education .

On this occasion, the city leaders awarded the Emulation Flag of the City People's Committee to Dong A University for its outstanding achievements in the city's patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025.

The Cherry Blossom Scholarship Fund of Dong A University awards talent and study encouragement scholarships to new students in 2025, with a total value of more than 43 billion VND.

Of which, more than 200 talented scholarships will be awarded to students with high entrance exam results in the 2025 entrance exam, and thousands of scholarships worth 7 million VND/scholarship will be awarded to students with good academic performance and outstanding achievements.

The school honors and rewards students who won prizes in scientific research and startup competitions in 2025, students with excellent academic achievements in the 2024-2025 school year...

In the 2025-2026 school year, Dong A University will welcome more than 3,600 new students studying in 41 training majors, bringing the total number of students to more than 11,000.
