On May 28th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, in coordination with the Provincial Tourism Association, organized a program to connect and introduce Gia Lai tourism to the Australian market, aiming to promote the attraction of international tourists to the locality.
As part of the program, the Australian famtrip delegation surveyed and experienced tourism products in the Quy Nhon - Gia Lai area; visiting many prominent destinations such as Nhon Hai fishing village, Hon Kho island, Eo Gió Nhon Ly, Nuoc Man port town, Banh It tower, Go Gang conical hat village, etc.
According to the Gia Lai Tourism Association, the number of Australian tourists visiting Quy Nhon - Gia Lai has increased rapidly recently. Australian tourists appreciate the coastal scenery, fresh air, rich cuisine, friendly people, and unique cultural and historical values of the locality. This is also one of the factors that helped Quy Nhon be selected by the Australian travel magazine Lonely Planet as one of the top 25 travel destinations in the world in 2026.
According to a representative of the Gia Lai Tourism Association, the Australian market has a high demand for outbound tourism, with long stays and a preference for relaxing experiences, exploring local culture, and enjoying Vietnamese cuisine and coffee.
Therefore, this famtrip program aims to help Australian tourism businesses gain a deeper understanding of the tourism resources and products of Quy Nhon - Gia Lai in order to develop and promote suitable tours for Australian tourists.
