Kha Son continues to write a new chapter in history.

From the historic Safe Zone II, a place deeply marked by the heroic era of the Vietnamese revolution, Kha Son today is breaking through and rising up, gradually realizing its aspiration to become a model new rural commune by 2030, worthy of the glorious tradition that generations of ancestors have painstakingly cultivated.

Proud of our heroic land

In August, we returned to Kha Son, the safe zone II (ATK) during the resistance against the French, a place that bears the footprints of pioneering leaders such as Truong Chinh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Quoc Viet...

It was no coincidence that the Central Committee of the Party chose Kha Son as a revolutionary base area. With its strategic location, bordering the Cau River and connecting the highlands with the plains, Kha Son served as both a protective belt and a strategic bridge between revolutionary base areas. Places like Kha Son Thuong communal house, Mai Son pagoda, Rac forest, Mr. Cao Nhat's house, and the Man forest... are symbols of patriotism, revolutionary spirit, and the indomitable will of the people here.

In July 2025, Kha Son commune was established through the merger of five communes: Kha Son, Luong Phu, Tan Duc, Duong Thanh, and Thanh Ninh. This event marks a historical milestone, ushering in a strong transformation for this land rich in revolutionary traditions.

With an area of ​​nearly 38 square kilometers and a population of over 42,000 people, Kha Son possesses many advantages for socio -economic development, attracting investment, and improving living standards. During the 2020-2025 term, the locality planned 15 residential and urban areas, of which 11 have been approved in detail and 5 have already attracted investors. In addition, Kha Son has developed 4 industrial clusters with a total area of ​​160 hectares. This confirms the potential and attractive investment environment of the locality.

Mr. Hoang Huu Tai, General Director of HM Vietnam Joint Stock Company, said: "We have invested in Tan Duc Residential Area No. 1, a model urban area with synchronized infrastructure, contributing to socio-economic development and improving the lives of the people."

Aspiration to rise

Leveraging its internal strengths and guided by the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development," Kha Son district achieved an average income of nearly 64 million VND per person per year during the 2020-2025 period; the poverty rate decreased to 1.17%; 100% of communes before the merger met the new rural standards, and 3 out of 5 communes met the advanced new rural standards.

Implementing the New Rural Development Program with the motto "The State and the people work together," the commune has mobilized 1,282 households to donate more than 65,753 square meters of land, upgraded 57.14 km of roads, 12.9 km of canals, and 10 village cultural houses with a total cost of over 66 billion VND.

Mr. Duong Van Chung, Secretary of the Party Branch of Pham 1 hamlet, Kha Son commune, said: "Previously, the narrow road made travel very difficult. After the commune merger, with the State's investment in widening and paving with asphalt, my family donated 90 square meters of land and contributed over 40 million VND, along with other villagers, to build the internal hamlet road."

Kha Son is also a shining example of digital transformation in the province, with many exemplary models such as: "Market 4.0", "Friendly Government", and "Community Digital Technology Teams" covering 100% of the hamlets. Some OCOP products, such as Truong Nguyen white horse bone extract, have been listed on e-commerce platforms...

Building on the revolutionary traditions of its homeland, Kha Son enters the 2025-2030 term with the goal of becoming an advanced new rural commune and a model new rural commune. In particular, the commune has identified three strategic breakthroughs: developing synchronous infrastructure; shifting the economic structure towards industry and services; building an e-government and digital society; achieving economic growth of over 10.5% per year; and reaching an average per capita income of 95 million VND/person/year...

Mr. Nguyen Van Ban, Secretary of the Party Committee of Kha Son commune, emphasized: Kha Son's great advantage is the investment in the Ring Road 5 connecting the Capital region and Noi Bai airport, opening up great opportunities in attracting investment. The commune has had many residential area and urban planning projects and two industrial clusters approved by the province, creating a foundation for the rapid and sustainable development of the industrial- agricultural -service economy, improving people's lives and inspiring aspirations for progress.

"Proud of our traditions – proactive integration – aspiration for breakthrough" is the overarching spirit of the Party Committee and people of Kha Son during the 2025-2030 term.
