Overcoming the situation where officials are afraid of making mistakes and being afraid of responsibility and doing a good job of protecting the environment

These are the issues emphasized by comrade Duong Van An - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee at the meeting with the Standing Committees of the district, town, city Party Committees, and affiliated Party Committees in the second quarter of 2023, which took place on the morning of July 13. Also attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Hong Hai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

At the meeting, localities reported on the socio -economic situation, Party building work, ensuring national defense and security in the first 6 months of the year; the ideological situation of cadres, party members, public opinion and emerging issues that need attention and direction to resolve. At the same time, difficulties were raised and many issues related to the construction of advanced new rural areas, mineral and land management, forest protection, waste treatment, investment in domestic water supply systems, and requested early approval of specific land prices to have a basis for implementing site clearance work for industrial parks. Department and sector leaders also responded and clarified the issues proposed by each locality and accepted them to propose competent authorities to resolve them according to regulations.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai noted that in the work of ensuring the environment, especially waste treatment, in addition to promoting propaganda, localities must strictly punish violations. For Duc Linh, the district is developing industry very well but must pay attention to and handle the environmental pollution of pig and chicken farms according to regulations. Localities and each department and branch need to do a good job of administrative reform; focus on handling records and recommendations of organizations and individuals, in case of difficulties and problems, they must immediately report to the Provincial People's Committee for resolution.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van An requested sectors and localities to closely follow the conclusions of the conference of the Provincial Party Committee on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in the first 6 months of the year and identify key tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. Focus on overcoming the fear of mistakes and responsibility; promote administrative procedure reform, speed up the progress of key projects. Call for social resources to handle waste problems in the area; determine specific land prices for projects that have been allocated land, projects that are implementing compensation and site clearance. Strengthen state management of land and minerals, strictly handle violations.
