Vietnamese tourists traveling to Bali do not worry about disease control

In mid-November, news.com.au reported that Bali had increased controls on tourists to prevent the spread of monkeypox, causing concern among many people, including Vietnamese tourists . However, in reality, entry procedures to Bali were still operating as normal.

However, when the writer and his family traveled to Bali on their own at the end of November, they did not encounter any difficulties. The plane landed at Ngurah Rai Airport at noon, and there were not too many passengers. Before leaving and on the plane, tourists were reminded to fill out the online immigration form to get the QR Code. The form includes basic information such as flight and accommodation address in Bali. The whole family only needs one person to fill out the representative form.

One day in late November, there were not many tourists so the entry procedures to Bali were quick.

Customs at Ngurah Rai Airport only asks a few common questions such as who the traveler is with, where they are staying, how many days they are traveling... After getting their passports stamped, the traveler will go to the baggage claim counter and will not check their luggage again upon entry. Finally, the traveler will go to the counter to scan the previously declared QR code and leave the airport. Due to the small number of visitors and simple immigration procedures, arriving in Bali is quite quick.

The end of the year is the low season for Bali tourism so Ngurah Rai airport is quite empty.

But in the opposite direction, when our group left Bali, the baggage inspection and screening procedures were extremely strict. After the passengers' baggage was put through the scanner, it would be automatically sorted. If any luggage was suspected of having to be manually checked, it would be separated into a separate line. Then, an employee would open the luggage to check in front of the passengers. They checked each bottle of skin cream, each teddy bear the baby brought along... Therefore, if Vietnamese tourists go to Bali, remember to add extra time for procedures when leaving this destination so as not to miss their flight.

During the days of visiting Bali, all activities of the locals and tourists took place normally. There was no information or warnings related to monkeypox or other epidemics. Neither tourists nor locals were required to wear masks anywhere...
