The 1st International Security Forum opens in the Russian Federation.

This was announced by Alexander Venediktov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Federal Security Council, at the opening ceremony of the 1st International Security Forum, held under the auspices of the Russian Federal Security Council from May 26 to 29 in the suburbs of Moscow.

Alexander Venediktov stated that such large-scale international security events have never been held in Russia or anywhere else. The event was attended by representatives from the majority of African countries, SCO partners, BRICS, ASEAN, and countries from the Middle East and Latin America.

Within the framework of the forum, 40 bilateral meetings are expected to be chaired by the Russian Federal Security Council, and 85 meetings are planned for relevant agencies.

In addition, the forum will feature the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding between the Russian Federal Security Council and federal executive agencies. Furthermore, the forum will host six multilateral meetings: BRICS, CIS, Russia-ASEAN, Russia-Central Asia, Russia-Sahel, and a press conference for representatives from African countries.

Over 20 other events are also planned, including roundtable discussions, conferences, workshops, and strategic meetings. In addition, 25 exhibition booths will be set up in the forum area at the "Live Arena" stadium and the "Patriot" central park, showcasing the latest technical equipment and weapons.

Highlights of the exhibition area included new products from Rosoboronexport, a subsidiary of the Russian state-owned corporation Rostec. At this forum, the company introduced for the first time the Citadel anti-aircraft gun system and the Garmon-ME radar, capable of detecting airborne targets at a range of up to 60 km and operating in electronic countermeasures mode.

In addition, the company also brought other products to the forum, such as the Silok mobile anti-UAV system, armored vehicles, and the Specter sniper system.

Speaking to the Russian press, Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport, emphasized: "The International Security Forum is a new platform to showcase to our partners the latest weapons and solutions that have been field-tested."

Right in the center of the event area, the organizers displayed specialized armored vehicles such as "Spartak," "Athlete," "Tiger," and "Titan," and for the first time introduced the "Kombat" armored vehicle and the "Shturm" truck.

The highlight of the forum is the opening ceremony of the 14th International Conference of Senior Leaders in Charge of Security on May 28th, chaired by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu.
