iTech Expo 2024 Opens

On the morning of July 10th, the Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association (HCA), Vietbuild International Construction Exhibition Joint Stock Company, Alta Media, and other partners jointly organized the iTech Expo 2024 International Technology Forum to introduce new technologies, promote economic and trade connections, and develop global science, technology, and engineering. The event took place over three days, from July 10th to 12th, at Quang Trung Software Park (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City).

With the theme "New Technology for a New Era," the exhibition area includes more than 350 booths showcasing smart, highly applicable technology solutions from brands such as Intel, ASUS, Zoho, QTSC, VNPT, Viettel, Mobifone, CMC Telecom, Galaxy Holdings, Dai Nam, etc.

Many new and modern technologies were introduced and displayed at the exhibition area.

Notably, the product and solution groups include those related to smart lighting technology, smart city development applications, consumer electronics, information technology, manufacturing equipment, and electronic components.

According to the organizers, iTech Expo 2024 will be attended by technology companies from more than 10 countries and territories in the region.

Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association, delivered the opening speech at the event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association (HCA), said: “During the 2024-2029 term, HCA views iTech Expo as a milestone marking the start of a new development phase, after a 12-year absence. We spent nearly a year perfecting iTech Expo 2024. Despite facing many difficulties in inviting foreign businesses due to the impact of the global economic situation, the event still received the attention and support of partners, technology businesses, and members. Hopefully, this event promises to bring leading-edge technologies and elevate future connectivity,” Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long shared.

According to Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, with its position as the economic center of the Southern region and a hub for numerous domestic and international businesses, including many digital technology companies, Ho Chi Minh City has set a goal to become a civilized, compassionate, dynamic, and creative city with a high-quality workforce by 2030, a modern industrial and service city, and the leading engine of the digital economy.

To contribute to achieving the above goal, Ho Chi Minh City urgently needs new production resources, including digital workforce, digital technology, and digital data. Therefore, the iTech Expo 2024 is considered a highlight and a focal point of interest for international and Vietnamese businesses. It is also an opportunity for leading technology leaders and experts to meet, network, promote their image, and elevate their brands.

In addition, the program will include nine specialized iTech Forum seminars focusing on cutting-edge trends, with speakers from domestic and international technology corporations and businesses. These seminars will concentrate on sharing insights on trending and hot topics globally, such as: Measuring the impact of the digital economy; emerging technologies – new opportunities for organizations and businesses; digital government and information security; AI technology – shaping business development in the digital age; IoT – the technology connecting the future…
