Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province; representatives of departments, branches, districts; and a large number of local people and domestic and international tourists.
The 2025 Hai Phong Food Festival will take place at two locations: Nguyen Du Flower Garden and Hai Phong Station, with a total of 25 booths. At Nguyen Du Flower Garden, 20 booths will be divided into 9 booths introducing typical street food (Hai Phong Foodtour) and 11 booths displaying delicious dishes, specialties and OCOP products of districts. At Hai Phong Station, 5 booths will display souvenirs and take-home food , while also providing tourism information and introducing the Red Flamboyant Train tourist route.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Hai Phong Food Festival, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized that this is an opportunity to introduce and promote the unique culinary values of the Port City, while honoring the traditional culinary culture associated with the image of friendly and hospitable Hai Phong people. The festival is also an activity to concretize the policy of developing the tourism product "Hai Phong Foodtour", contributing to enriching the experience of tourists when coming to the city. The event also combines practical activities to introduce railway tourism products, especially the Hoa Phuong Do Train route, to attract tourists and promote Hai Phong tourism.
Right after the opening ceremony, there was a special art program combining the performance of preparing some typical dishes such as: crab rice noodles, crab spring rolls, sweet and sour stir-fried sea urchin, Cat Ba grouper smoked on volcanic rocks, Sakura beef gilded with fire... attracting the attention and response of many people and tourists.
The 2025 Hai Phong Food Festival will take place over 3 days, from May 10 to May 12. In addition to the activities of displaying, introducing and enjoying cuisine, the organizers also arrange live performance spaces, check-in points, and interactive experiences to create a vibrant and attractive atmosphere, contributing to stimulating tourism and effectively promoting the city's new tourism products. The program not only contributes to promoting the image of Hai Phong as dynamic, friendly, and rich in cultural identity, but is also an opportunity for units, businesses, and culinary artisans to exchange, introduce products, promote service and tourism development, and contribute to the city's socio-economic development.
