Attending the opening ceremony were: Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ; Mr. Do Hoang Hai, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Nam ward; leaders of Sun Group ; coaches, athletes and a large number of sports enthusiasts from various localities.
Spanning approximately 22 hectares, Sun Sports City Ninh Binh boasts a system of 58 training and competition courts serving various sports such as football, pickleball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and basic athletics. Notably, it features a large-scale pickleball complex with 41 well-equipped courts, meeting the needs for training, competition, and hosting sporting events.
The highlight of the entire complex is the nearly 3,000-seat stadium – a project expected to be completed in August 2026 – featuring a FIFA-standard 11-a-side football pitch with a high-quality surface, meeting the standards for hosting international tournaments, and an 8-lane athletics track for speed, middle-distance, and basic Olympic sports such as high jump, long jump, javelin throw, and shot put. This facility meets the standards to host national-level tournaments in the near future.
According to the project's investor, in the near future, the park will continue to complete several facilities such as a stadium, a year-round swimming pool, a gym, and recreational areas for the community.
The opening of Sun Sports City Ninh Binh contributes to providing more space for sports activities and health training for the people; at the same time, it creates more tourism and entertainment products combined with sports in the province. This also creates favorable conditions for organizing sports exchanges and competitions, gradually forming new experiential destinations to meet the needs of locals and tourists.
On the opening day, many exciting sporting activities took place, such as a friendly pickleball tournament with the participation of nearly 50 pairs of athletes, along with friendly football matches and community sports experiences, attracting a large number of people to participate and cheer.
Sun Sports City Ninh Binh is expected to be a new destination serving the training, recreation, and entertainment needs of locals and tourists, while also contributing to diversifying tourism products and services, creating further impetus to promote the development of Ninh Binh's tourism industry in a modern, sustainable, and highly competitive direction.
