Explore the interior of the world's largest Buddha statue in Japan.

Located approximately 100 km northeast of Tokyo, the Ushiku Daibutsu (Great Buddha) statue is situated in Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The statue took over 10 years to construct and was completed in 1994. It was recognized as the world's largest Buddha statue in 1995. For over 20 years, it has held this record.

The statue is 120 meters tall, including a 20-meter lotus pedestal and a 100-meter-tall bronze Buddha statue. The entire structure weighs approximately 4,000 tons, including 3,000 tons of reinforced concrete and 1,000 tons of bronze.

The statue is assembled from over 6,000 highly durable copper plates. Each plate is meticulously cast, showcasing the pinnacle of Japanese craftsmanship in copper casting.

Inside the statue is a spiritual space structure with five levels. Level 1 is the "World of Light"; Level 2 is the "World of Gratitude"; Level 3 is the "World of Lotus Platforms"; and Levels 4 and 5 are the Linh Ung Mountain space.

Unlike many other world-famous statues that can only be viewed from the outside, here, visitors can take an elevator inside the statue to the 5th floor (equivalent to a height of 85m, level with the Buddha's chest) to explore various forms of meditation and worship.

The Lotus World on the third floor is the main shrine of the temple, with approximately 3,400 golden Buddha statues placed on the walls.

The highlight that captivates visitors when they come to worship here is the park at the foot of the Buddha statue. Spanning 10,000 square ^meters , the garden depicts the Pure Land in Buddhism with its rich natural scenery and traditional Japanese-style garden, vibrant with various seasonal flowers.

Especially in spring, the cherry blossoms bloom profusely, transporting visitors to a fairyland.
