Since the days leading up to the National Day on September 2nd, Ta Con Airport and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel have welcomed thousands of visitors. Many tourists from the North and the South have come to visit, many of whom have expanded their research after these two sites appeared in the popular film: Red Rain.

The historical site of Ta Con airport in Khe Sanh commune (Quang Tri) is located next to Highway 14. The airport was built in the middle of a large valley, surrounded by towering mountains and hills. During the years 1966 - 1968, Ta Con airport was located in a strategic military base of the US army.

Currently, the relic site is displaying a number of aircraft such as C-130, UH-1, CH-47. In addition, there are tanks, bomb shells and many artifacts of the liberation army and US army soldiers.

Thai Bao Thu (12th grade student, Che Lan Vien High School, Cam Lo Commune, Quang Tri) said that after watching Red Rain , she was very curious and wanted to learn about the locations of her hometown that appeared in the film.

"The movie Red Rain is very good and meaningful, especially for a student like me. I watched it a second time and decided to visit the locations that appeared in the movie during this holiday. Today is the first time I've been to Ta Con airport. Going to the relic house to see the artifacts and images of our army and people, I feel very proud and grateful to the previous generation," Bao Thu shared.
The present Quang Tri Citadel and the film set were restored by the film crew with the old name of Dinh Cong Trang Citadel.

At the special national relic of Quang Tri Citadel, tourists from all over the world visit every year, especially during important national holidays. In the film Red Rain , the image of Quang Tri Citadel was restored by the film crew on a local agricultural land next to the Thach Han River for filming.

The film set was built on a large scale with realistic details, closely following the 81 fierce days and nights in the ancient citadel. This is the main setting of the movie Red Rain .
After completing filming, the People's Army Cinema cleaned up the set and returned the site to its original state to the people in Quang Tri Ward.
The image of Quang Tri Citadel on film is even more attractive, making many tourists from far away want to visit this special relic in person.

On September 5, the film crew will organize a free screening of Red Rain in Quang Tri Ward, serving representatives of leaders, localities that have coordinated with the People's Army Cinema to make the film, and local people who have lent the crew land to build the film studio.
