On September 1, the news of Meritorious Artist Ngoc Trinh’s passing shocked artists and audiences. The sudden passing of the talented artist left her colleagues and audiences in grief as many of her wishes and plans remained unfinished.

Ngoc Trinh's dream of getting a master's degree

Actor Ba Thang choked up as he shared with Thanh Nien that Meritorious Artist Ngoc Trinh is a person with many ambitions, always striving for her career. Recently, she, Ba Thang, Hoa Hiep... have been trying to study for a master's degree in theater at the Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. They often meet and discuss their unfinished master's thesis.

"According to the plan, at the end of October we will go to Hanoi together to defend our master's thesis. In the past, we often talked and went to interviews to write our thesis. We even discussed buying tickets to fly to Hanoi together and stay in the same hotel. But her sudden passing left all our dreams and plans unfinished...", he shared.

The actor said Ngoc Trinh lives a private life and rarely shares personal stories. She often advises her colleagues not to share too much about their personal lives and to focus on their professional work. "She said that artists should only bring their works of art to the audience, instead of their personal lives. At work, she is always meticulous and only shares when she finishes. She always strives to get a master's degree, continue to teach, and pass on knowledge and professional experience to the younger generation," Ba Thang said emotionally.

Recalling recent memories, he said that the actress Mui Ngo Gai really likes to eat durian. More than half a month ago, he and Hoa Hiep planned to stop by her house to bring durian to her senior, but because of an urgent matter, they only sent it by ship. "When she received it, she blamed us for leaving her hanging. About 10 days ago, a few colleagues asked me if I had met Trinh. I told them I hadn't met her but had sent her food, and I texted her but she didn't reply. After returning from a business trip, I contacted her but she didn't pick up, thinking she was busy. Unexpectedly... now I can't meet her anymore. This life is so unpredictable. I miss her so much," Ba Thang choked up.

The actor shared that last night, he and some colleagues came to visit and offer condolences to artist Ngoc Trinh's family. He was speechless when witnessing the pain of his relatives: "Looking at her father and sisters, I feel so sorry for them," he confided.

Artist Hanh Thuy could not help but feel saddened by Ngoc Trinh's sudden passing. She said that since she was still an audience member, she had admired her when watching Meritorious Artist Ngoc Trinh perform on stage. Later, when she had the opportunity to work together, Hanh Thuy admired her senior even more because of her frankness, sincerity and her wholehearted support for the young. "Before, I always wished that one day I could perform with her. When that came true, it was a great joy for me. However, I did not have many opportunities. The time we performed together was more than ten years ago," she shared.

Hanh Thuy also expressed regret about her senior's unfinished wish: "Having just completed her second degree and was waiting to defend her master's thesis, she passed away, leaving her life journey unfinished, leaving behind students who are still taking their first steps on the path of art."
