The conference was an opportunity to review the past year's activities and identify key tasks for the next phase of the professional organization representing writers in the capital city.
The summary report shows that in 2025, the Hanoi Writers Association will continue to strengthen its organization and expand its professional activities. The establishment of the Long Bien Writers Association branch has increased the total number of affiliated branches to six, contributing to strengthening connections among members and bringing the Association's activities closer to the literary life at the grassroots level. Organizational work is gradually being improved, creating a foundation for the implementation of professional activities with depth and sustainability.

Professional activities continued to be at the center. During the year, the Association organized seven literary seminars on topics related to the development of Hanoi literature and national literature, attracting the participation of numerous writers, poets, researchers, and critics. These seminars contributed to clarifying many theoretical and practical issues of creative writing, opening up new approaches to contemporary literary life.
In addition, monthly thematic activities are regularly maintained, creating a forum for professional exchange, sharing creative experiences, and fostering a sense of social responsibility among writers.
Practical activities related to writing continued to be emphasized. The Women Writers' Association and its branches proactively organized numerous field trips, literary exchanges, visits to cultural spaces, book introductions, and literary activities at the grassroots level. These activities contributed to expanding the scope of literary reception, bringing works closer to readers, and creating opportunities for members to accumulate life experiences and enrich their creative material.

Entering 2026, the Hanoi Writers Association identifies this as a crucial period for its long-term development orientation. The Executive Committee, along with the specialized councils, working committees, and branch system, will focus on stabilizing the organization, comprehensively reviewing and summarizing the work of the 2021-2025 term, preparing reports for submission to higher authorities, and seeking guidance on future operational directions.
At the conference, the Hanoi Writers Association awarded the 2025 Literature Prize to three outstanding works: the poetry collection "Going Towards the Sun" by Le Canh Nhac, the short story collection "The Town of Cottonfish" by Dinh Phuong, and the bilingual Russian-Vietnamese translation of the poetry collection "Snowstorms" by Thai Xuan Nguyen. These works were highly praised for their artistic value, innovative spirit, and positive contributions to contemporary literary life.

The Association also awarded the Lifetime Literary Achievement Award to writer Tran Thi Truong in recognition of her enduring contributions to the literature of Hanoi. Following their outstanding contributions to the development of Hanoi literature, the Contribution Award was presented to writer Banh Thanh Ban and writer and researcher Nguyen Xuan Tuan - author of the recently published book "The Path to the Future," which has garnered widespread attention among researchers, artists, and journalists.
On this occasion, the Hanoi Writers Association also announced the decision to admit 38 new members, supplementing the creative force and contributing to enriching the literary landscape of the capital city.
