Urgently complete the tasks of participating in the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day

On the afternoon of August 20, the Organizing Committee of the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) of Hai Phong city held a meeting to check the progress of preparations for participating in the Exhibition. Comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee chaired the meeting.

At the city's Exhibition area with the theme "Hai Phong - Faith and aspiration to rise with the country", the city chose to display outstanding images and events about the economic - cultural - social achievements of Hai Phong city over the past 80 years.

The exhibition area of ​​Hai Phong City is visually arranged with images, artifacts, models, documents, typical and most characteristic products of the city, presented using modern technology, while showing clips showing the content in accordance with the theme of the exhibition. In addition, the city will organize cultural, artistic, culinary and other activities under the guidance of the National Exhibition Organizing Committee.

Up to this point, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proactively coordinated with the standing agency of the Organizing Committee and the Sub-committees assisting the Central Organizing Committee to manage and implement the construction of the exhibition area of ​​Hai Phong city to ensure completion progress, as well as security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and environmental sanitation.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also presides with the Department of Construction, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Finance and relevant agencies to deploy the contents and construct according to the approved design plan in indoor and outdoor areas.

Up to now, a total of 83 businesses and business households have registered to participate in the exhibition, of which 73 businesses are participating in displaying products, 10 businesses are trading in local cuisine, divided into 8 fields. Currently, businesses continue to urgently construct models and booths in the outdoor exhibition area.

At the assigned outdoor exhibition space ( ^10,000m2 ), Hai Phong city arranged a small stage to serve visitors, associated with investment promotion activities.

By August 20, the Theaters under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism had completed the Art Program and were staging and rehearsing in time to serve the program at the Exhibition Ground of Hai Phong City.

In addition, to participate in the 3-region culinary space with the theme "Green culinary train", the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism invited Tuan Ruoi Restaurant at 340 Truong Chinh, Le Thanh Nghi, Hai Phong city to participate in the 3-region culinary space with the theme "Green culinary train" with typical products such as crab spring rolls, crab vermicelli, stewed crab, crab rice noodles...

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will conduct training for the staff of the exhibition's interpreters and operators; continue to edit and complete according to the opinion of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, and prepare for the Central Organizing Committee to conduct a preliminary review on August 20, 2025, and a final review on August 26, 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung requested relevant agencies and units to continue to urgently implement assigned tasks, speed up work progress to promptly respond to the direction of the Government leaders and the Chairman of the City People's Committee, pay attention to completing the detailed design of each booth of enterprises, ensuring aesthetics, effective display and expressing the identity of the city, arranging a team of interpreters (including foreign language interpreters), unifying the uniform of the operating team at the Exhibition, arranging a high-quality souvenir display area, paying attention to fire prevention and fighting, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.

The National Achievements Exhibition, taking place at the National Exhibition and Fair Center from August 28 to September 5, 2025, is an important political and cultural event, an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, welcome Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress; at the same time, affirm the leadership role of the Party and State in the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, especially in the period of renovation.

The event is also an opportunity to honor, introduce and promote the image of Hai Phong city in innovation, integration and development; reflect the outstanding achievements in the city's socio-economic fields during the renovation period, especially the 2020-2025 term; at the same time introduce the potential, strengths and position of Hai Phong to domestic and international friends.
