Urgently complete the space of the Diplomatic sector at the National Exhibition of 80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness

On August 16, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son chaired a meeting to review preparations for the exhibition space of the diplomatic sector within the framework of the national exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" at the National Exhibition Center taking place from August 28 to September 5.

Also attending the meeting were Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and leaders of relevant units of the Ministry.

The exhibition space of the Diplomatic sector with the theme "Diplomacy in the Ho Chi Minh era: 80 years of dedicated service to the nation" is located in Hall 8, designed with three main zones: Zone 1 recreates Vietnam's diplomatic journey from 1945-1986; Zone 2 introduces the period from Doi Moi 1986 to present, the World and Vietnam area and Zone 3 is for interactive activities, experiences and souvenir photos with a space simulating the United Nations meeting room, ASEAN symbols and artifacts imbued with the identity of the Diplomatic sector.

In the sub-areas, visitors will experience the heroic imprints of the country since September 2, 1945 with relics, documents, and images showing the great contributions of the Diplomatic sector in the country's development process.

At the same time, many achievements of 80 years of Diplomacy will also be shown through figures on political relations, trade, culture, border and territorial affairs, work with overseas Vietnamese, etc. In addition, many images and documents will be introduced for the first time. Documentary video clips, interactive screens and valuable artifacts such as medals and diplomatic documents will also be displayed, contributing to vividly recreating the comprehensive development journey of Vietnamese diplomacy.

In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son acknowledged the efforts of the Diplomatic Academy and units in the Ministry in promptly and creatively overcoming difficulties to carry out the work despite the short preparation time and large workload.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the exhibition is not only an opportunity to review the glorious 80-year journey of the Diplomatic sector but also an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnam's innovation, integration and development. Therefore, the content of the exhibition must adhere to the requirements of the State Organizing Committee, have high accuracy, the documents and images must have real historical value, demonstrate the identity of Vietnamese diplomacy; focus on applying new technology, creating a lively and attractive space for the domestic public and international friends, thereby strongly spreading the pride and aspiration of the Vietnamese people.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son requested that units coordinate closely, complete the content and form of the exhibition on schedule, ensure the preliminary review on August 20 and the opening of the exhibition on August 28.

With the message "Vietnamese Diplomacy - 80 years of dedicated service to the nation and people", the exhibition space needs to ensure the use of accurate images and documents, clearly demonstrating the identity and functions of the Diplomatic sector, using technological applications to make the exhibition space more attractive, thereby strongly spreading the pride and aspiration of the Vietnamese people.
