This is a remarkable art event, not only continuing the success of “The Wave 1” but also affirming the efforts and aspirations of young artists in the contemporary Vietnamese fine arts stream.
The exhibition “The Wave 2” opens up a multidimensional creative space, where six independent artistic personalities meet, converse and resonate. Each artist brings to the exhibition a unique style, a different language of expression, but all aim towards the spirit of continuous discovery and creativity.
From profound contemplations on nature and life, to philosophical inner thoughts, the exhibition brings richness and diversity in the approach and expression of contemporary art. For artist Dung Ha, painting is the opening from the simple emotions of daily life. His works open up to viewers a depth of nature, the earth and sky, evoking a feeling of closeness but also full of contemplation.

Painter Quang Tham makes a strong impression through a bright color palette and expressive lines, vividly recreating the pulse of urban life. Painter Thi Ca approaches painting with an introverted perspective, her works often carry a heavy philosophical content and contemplation of human fate in the flow of contemporary society. Meanwhile, Hieu Nghia creates thoughtful moments with somber colors, evoking a peaceful yet profound feeling. Painter Le Anh Thanh impresses with poetic works, exploiting the harmony between memory and reality. Painter Han Vinh chooses a liberal and free direction in his brushwork, bringing viewers a youthful, strong and surprising energy.
The highlight of “The Wave 2” is the co-existence of six styles, six independent artistic voices, but when placed side by side, they create a harmonious, vibrant creative flow. This not only affirms the diversity in visual language, but also shows the spirit of solidarity and companionship of the HCMC art community in building a rich and sustainable cultural and artistic life.
According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, “The Wave 2” is not simply a group exhibition but also has an suggestive meaning: giving the public another perspective on contemporary Vietnamese fine arts, giving artists more motivation to create, and at the same time affirming the commitment of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association in improving the quality and spread of visual arts.

The exhibition also shows the efforts of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum in creating a professional exhibition space where the public can approach and directly dialogue with works of art. Thereby, contributing to bringing fine arts closer to life, affirming the role of art as an important element in nurturing the soul, building a cultural foundation rich in identity and humanity.
