General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and delegates visit the Smart Factory technology exhibition area within the framework of the National Innovation Day.
The event is an important bridge between the two economies , towards extensive cooperation in the field of modern and high-tech manufacturing.
One of the attractions of the Forum is the technology demonstration area, which brings together many of the world's leading brands such as: Hermle AG, Walter Tools, Open Mind, Heidenhain, Zoller, Albreght, Lang Technik, Blum Novotest, Blaser, Wenzel, Bosch Rexroth and many other technology enterprises.
Among them, Hermle AG - the symbol of German technology in the field of precision machining brought the C400 5-axis machining machine, which was demonstrated live at the event.
Unlike machines that are only strong in a few aspects, Hermle achieves consistently high performance across all elements, helping businesses optimize the entire production process, from speed, precision to long-term reliability. Hermle is not only a manufacturer of machine tools, but also a model of efficiency, sustainability and German industrial value in the era of smart manufacturing.
Together with Hermle, Walter Tools and Heidenhain demonstrate synchronous solutions from cutting tools, programming software, to measurement and data management systems, simulating the entire value chain of a smart factory - Smart Factory 4.0.
The technologies of Open Mind and Zoller, Albreght, Lang and Blum also contribute to completing the overall picture of the digital integrated manufacturing model – where data, equipment and people operate as a unified whole.

Vietnam - Germany Cooperation: A Bridge for Innovation
In parallel with the technology demonstration, many specialized seminars were held, bringing together experts, businesses and research institutes from both countries.
The topics focus on key technology areas: Precision molds and integrated machining - discussing solutions to optimize supporting industry production; aerospace and defense - security - sharing experiences and technologies in the field of materials, components and defense systems; electronics and semiconductors - discussing opportunities for developing Vietnam's semiconductor industry in conjunction with Decision 1131/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on national strategic technology groups.
Experts agree that technology transfer, training of highly skilled human resources and connecting businesses - government - research institutes are the three pillars for Vietnam to improve its production capacity in the coming period.
Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center, emphasized that Vietnam considers high-tech industry as a key driving force to improve national productivity and competitiveness. Cooperation with Germany - a leading country in manufacturing technology - will open up great opportunities in knowledge transfer, human resource training and building sustainable value chains.
AHK Vietnam representative, Mr. Bjorn Koslowski said: “Today’s event is a clear demonstration of the effective cooperation between the two countries. German companies are ready to accompany Vietnam in building modern production capacity, aiming at international standards of efficiency and sustainability. We appreciate the efforts of the members of the Vietnam Semiconductor Network (NIC) who have devoted much effort to connecting leading German technologies to the Vietnamese manufacturing and processing business community.”
Vietnam Innovation Exhibition 2025 brings together many booths from leading technology countries such as the US, Germany, France, and Japan.
One of the outstanding results of the Forum is the proposal to form a network of Innovation Centers in ministries, branches and industrial localities, based on the Smart Factory model demonstrated at the event.
These centers are not only places to apply digital technology, automation and artificial intelligence in production, but also act as a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises to access advanced technology. Thereby, innovation will be strongly spread to every industrial area across the country.
Taking place from October 1-3, with the theme "Innovation for all people - Driving force for national development", the National Innovation Day 2025 has affirmed the determination of the Party and State in promoting innovation to become the center of socio-economic development strategy, improving productivity, competitiveness, and ensuring sustainable growth. This is also an opportunity to honor creative and breakthrough ideas, while promoting the formation and development of a comprehensive innovation ecosystem.
