On the morning of November 19, in Melbourne (Australia), the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the Vietnam - Australia Business Forum.

Speaking here, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien said that the Vietnamese community in Australia, with more than 370,000 people and thousands of businessmen, is an important bridge, a great and strategic resource for the development of the country and cooperation between the two countries. These are not only successful businessmen, but also Vietnamese people with the aspiration to contribute to the host country and to their homeland, Vietnam.

The Minister suggested that the Vietnamese business community in Australia actively promote technology transfer to Vietnam, especially for fundamental industries such as new materials technology, precision mechanics, chemicals, semiconductor power technology, AI and digital technology .

In addition, it is necessary to strengthen connection activities and share experiences with Vietnamese businesses through online platforms and regular events. Proactively promote the image of a dynamic and innovative Vietnam on Australian business forums, contributing to enhancing the position of the national brand.

At the same time, build a network of young overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs, encourage the second and third generations to participate to ensure the inheritance and sustainable development of the community.

More and more Vietnamese businesses are interested in investing in Australia.

Earlier, at the Forum, Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam said that in terms of political cooperation, the two sides maintain high trust and regularly exchange high-level delegations. The two sides agreed to strive to soon bring two-way trade turnover to 20 billion USD. More and more Vietnamese localities and enterprises are interested in investing and doing business in Australia.

Within the framework of the Forum, Mr. Tran Ba ​​Phuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Business Association in Australia, shared that in the Vietnam-Australia trade relationship, there is a large presence of the Vietnamese community. This is a community with very strong economic potential, oriented towards the homeland and has a great demand for Vietnamese goods.
