Activities within the framework of Project 8: Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children by 2025. Attending the conference were Ms. To Thi My Thuan, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, local leaders and more than 100 people of Duong Cuoc and Cai Bat hamlets.

Ms. To Thi My Thuan emphasized: The digital age brings opportunities but also potential risks. It is necessary to equip women and children with digital skills and build a safe online environment.

At the conference, delegates assessed the results of gender equality and gender-based violence prevention in recent times; discussed the role of women in building the political system and socio-economic development; and proposed many solutions to improve operational efficiency in the coming time.

Speaking at the discussion, Mr. Trang Hoang Lam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong The Tran Commune, emphasized that the explosion of digital transformation makes ensuring safety in the online environment for women and children urgent. The People's Committee of the Commune will coordinate with organizations to strengthen communication and provide guidance on identifying and preventing risks in cyberspace, especially for ethnic minority women.

Mr. Trang Hoang Lam shared about the role of the Commune People's Committee in building a safe and equal digital space for women and girls.

At the event, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union officially launched the Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2025, with the theme "Gender Equality and Safety for Women and Children in the Digital Age", taking place from November 15 to December 15. The Union called on all levels of the Union, authorities and people to actively respond, spread the message of love, respect and practical action for gender equality, contributing to building happy families and a civilized society.

Delegates joined hands to spread the message of gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence by making commitments related to the 2025 Theme of the Action Month, which is “Gender equality and safety for women and girls in the digital age”.

Ms. To Thi My Thuan said that in the context of digital transformation, equipping women and children with digital knowledge, skills and self-protection in the online environment is an important task. The Provincial Women's Union will continue to promote communication, build models and clubs to support women in accessing technology; strengthen coordination with agencies and organizations to create a safe online environment, promoting the goal of gender equality in the new period.

According to the plan, the Provincial Women's Union will organize 7 similar conferences in the areas implementing Project 8, along with many propaganda activities to strongly spread the message of the Action Month for Gender Equality in 2025.
