Attending the event were Ms. Le Thi Ai Nam, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Department of Health , Chairman of the School Council; and generations of leaders, lecturers and students. The delegates reviewed the tradition of respecting teachers and the 46-year journey of building and developing the school.

Former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Ai Nam shared her enthusiasm and expressed her high expectations for the school's staff, lecturers and students in the new development period.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Huynh Quoc Su, Principal, expressed his pride in the school's growth from the early difficult days to its position as a prestigious medical training institution in the region. He expressed gratitude to generations of teachers and affirmed that the merger process with Ca Mau Medical College is an opportunity for the school to develop more strongly, while calling for continued innovation in training, increased cooperation and digital transformation.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Diep, former Principal of Bac Lieu Medical College, shared his memories of his beloved school during his time working and contributing.

Ms. Le Thi Ai Nam acknowledged the efforts of Bac Lieu Medical College in improving the quality of training, expanding majors and investing in facilities, making important contributions to the medical human resources of the Ca Mau peninsula. She emphasized that Resolutions 71 and 72 of the Politburo opened up breakthrough opportunities for the education and health sectors, and at the same time suggested that the school continue to innovate its programs, enhance practice, and focus on vocational skills and social skills. She also suggested directions for developing specific majors, researching and training in the field of patient and elderly care, and orienting labor export.

The Board of Directors of Bac Lieu Medical College presented gifts of gratitude to generations of leaders, lecturers, officials and workers through the periods who have made many contributions to the formation and development of Bac Lieu Medical College.

In addition, the school needs to build a team of high-quality lecturers, promote scientific research and prepare well for the project of merging the two schools, moving towards an autonomous model. She proposed to locate the new school's headquarters in Bac Lieu ward - an area oriented to be the center of education, innovation and culture of the province.

On this occasion, Ms. Le Thi Ai Nam awarded 10 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties, encouraging them to make efforts in studying and training.
