
Due to flooding, 100 cans of extremely dangerous sulfuric acid were swept away from the Tuy Hoa sugar factory. People who find it are asked not to open the lids themselves and to immediately notify the nearest authorities for handling.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Mai Huong, Chief of Son Thanh Commune Police, said that due to heavy rain and floods, 100 cans of sulfuric acid from the Tuy Hoa sugar factory located in the area were swept away by water.
Police are issuing a warning as this is a dangerous acid. If you find it, do not open the lid and report it to the nearest police station.
"Sulfuric acid cans are contained in 20-liter barrels that are blue or gray. If people discover or pick them up, they must absolutely not open the lid and must immediately report to the nearest police station for safe handling," emphasized Lieutenant Colonel Huong.
Up to now, Son Thanh Commune Police have not received any information about anyone reporting that these acid cans have been picked up.
Authorities are continuing to review, search and call on people to be vigilant and cooperate in providing timely information to the nearest authorities or local government.
