Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Festival, People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui, President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, affirmed: The Festival is an activity of cultural and artistic exchange between Vietnam and countries around the world , aiming to improve the quality of art as well as encourage innovation and creativity; at the same time, it is also an opportunity for artists to promote the unique values of art forms and exchange creative experiences with international colleagues, thereby finding directions for artistic activities to build many theatrical works of high ideological value and artistic quality.

According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, the Festival contributes to promoting the development of domestic and international drama, both preserving traditional and cultural values and keeping in tune with contemporary life, reflecting all activities of social life and providing aesthetic orientation for the audience, helping artists fulfill the mission that the public expects.
In her welcoming speech at the Festival, Ms. Ha Lan Anh, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairwoman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: Experimental theatre helps open up new directions: Courageous, creative, daring to break through thinking, daring to overcome familiar stereotypes to find new expressive languages. Experimentation is not only a technique of staging plays, but also a spirit of exploration, self-renewal, a dialogue between tradition and modernity, between identity and global trends.

The International Experimental Theatre Festival is therefore not simply a performance venue, but also a forum for academic exchange and artist interaction, opening up opportunities for artistic exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and international friends, affirming Vietnam's position as a cultural bridge, a trusted destination for world contemporary art.
“This festival is not only an art event but also an opportunity for Ninh Binh to demonstrate its vision of cultural development associated with creativity, innovation, and international connection. We expect that new ideas, new methods, and new languages of experimental theater will strongly inspire domestic artists, while opening up strategic cooperation directions between Ninh Binh and international art organizations,” said Ms. Ha Lan Anh.

Attending the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Lemi Ponifasio, UNESCO World Theatre Ambassador, commented: “More than just a series of performances, the 2025 International Experimental Theatre Festival is also a mirror reflecting our contemplations and the core values of human philosophy. For an artist, art is a combination of traditional values and innovations. Your works help us gain a deeper understanding of humanity as a whole, push us to explore new artistic frontiers, shape the times we live in, and breathe life into things that the eyes have not seen, the ears have not heard, and words cannot express. This is the true miracle.”
