According to preliminary statistics, more than 19,200 houses were flooded over 1.5 m deep, many places were flooded from 2-3 m, widely distributed throughout the province; mainly concentrated in Quy Nhon, Ayun Pa, Tuy Phuoc, Ia Sao, Ia Tul, Ia Pa, Ia Rsai, Uar, Phu Tuc, Po To,... The natural disaster caused damage to people, houses, properties, trees, crops, canals, dams, production facilities of people and businesses; the initial total damage is estimated at more than 1,000 billion VND.
In order to promptly support people who have lost property and crops, and to stabilize their lives soon, the Provincial People's Committee decided to support 2 million VND/household for 3 months for poor households, near-poor households, and policy households in difficult circumstances (about 5,000 households); at the same time, provide emergency support for households whose houses have completely collapsed at the rate of 60 million VND/house, houses with completely blown-off roofs at the rate of 5 million VND and 2 million VND for houses with damaged or partially blown-off roofs.
In addition, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has submitted a document requesting the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to consider and report to the Prime Minister to issue 2,000 tons of rice to provide emergency support to the people.

With the spirit of "absolutely not being subjective", before the recent flood, the Provincial People's Committee has drastically implemented solutions, preventing early and from afar to minimize the damage caused by floods. The province has activated the level 3.1 flood plan on the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Information System software (https://thientai.gialai.gov.vn) for 58 communes and wards in the eastern region of the province.
The provincial police mobilized 11 platoons deployed in Dong Gia Lai area, 1 platoon deployed in Tay Gia Lai area and thousands of officers and soldiers used vehicles and equipment to coordinate with the Party Committees and authorities of the communes to evacuate 2,850 households with 10,529 people to safe shelters, rescue 766 people from deep flooded areas; check and review more than 402 vulnerable points at risk of landslides and flooding to proactively deploy forces and vehicles to set up barriers and warn people.
The Provincial Military Command mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers to participate in the evacuation of 2,463 households/6,704 people.
In addition, about 60 amphibious vehicles, boats, and basket boats of travel agencies and rescue teams in Nhon Ly, Quy Nhon Dong ward, and other provinces and cities also participated in supporting the evacuation of people to safety.

On the morning of November 20, in the face of severe flooding in Gia Lai and Dak Lak, more than 500 officers and soldiers of Regiment 38 and Regiment 95, Division 2, mobilized to support people.
Forecasting that the weather will continue to be complicated in the coming days, the Provincial People's Committee directed the People's Committees of communes and wards to continue to review, organize evacuation, and move people out of high-risk areas, deep flooding, landslides; ensure food, drinking water, and essential necessities in the areas where people are evacuated and relocated, not letting people go hungry, cold, or lack drinking water...
Increase forces to organize and guide traffic from a distance to separate traffic flows; resolutely not let people and vehicles enter deeply flooded and landslide areas.
Closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of heavy rain, reservoir regulation warning information, risks of floods, inundation, flash floods, and landslides; provide timely and complete information to people to proactively prevent and avoid at the highest possible level.
The Fatherland Front Committee launched the movement "helping each other", calling on businesses, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to join hands to support people to soon stabilize their lives.

Officers and soldiers set out on a mission to support the people.
The People's Committees of communes and wards direct forces to participate in overcoming damage caused by floods; handle environmental sanitation, prevent diseases and epidemics; ensure learning conditions for students, provide medical examination and treatment for people and restore production and business activities immediately after the floods recede.
The province will synthesize and report fully and accurately information on the flood situation, damage and flood recovery work in the province for the Government to promptly consider and provide support.
