Survey of high-tech policy in Lam Dong

During the working time, the delegation focused on surveying high-tech agricultural models and listening to difficulties and problems from businesses to serve the construction of the Law on High Technology (amended).

During the survey at enterprises, the delegation focused on learning about the implementation of policies related to the Law on High Technology, especially difficulties in the process of applying incentives and criteria for evaluating high-tech enterprises.

At the meetings, local businesses frankly discussed the remaining difficulties, especially regarding tax procedures, high land rental prices, and limitations in accessing incentives to expand production.

Many opinions hope that the province and central agencies will continue to have appropriate support mechanisms so that businesses in the high-tech agricultural sector - one of Lam Dong 's strengths - can have conditions to develop more strongly.

The working group listened to the proposals and recommendations of businesses, including the need to accompany and support small and medium enterprises more closely, helping them have the opportunity to rise and approach the development level of large units in the industry.

*The delegation exchanged information with representatives of Cao Nguyen Seedling Joint Stock Company - HIVICO, a unit specializing in tissue culture and research on high-tech plant varieties.*

At the working session, the delegation representative provided detailed instructions on criteria related to high-tech enterprises, especially requirements on the ratio of expenditure for research and development, documents proving technological capacity and how to complete procedures to obtain a certificate.

The delegation also advised businesses to take advantage of incentives on land tax and corporate income tax, and recorded problems with administrative procedures to synthesize and serve the process of amending the Law.

According to the Department of Science, Technology and Engineering, the information, difficulties and recommendations collected in Lam Dong will be an important basis to help the drafting agency adjust policies in a more practical direction, creating conditions for high-tech enterprises - especially in the agricultural sector - to develop sustainably and contribute more strongly to the local economy .
