Looking back at important milestones of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term

VTV.vn - On the morning of October 3, the Organizing Committee of the celebration of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City opened a photo exhibition to welcome the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Attending the opening ceremony were Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - Tran Thi Dieu Thuy; Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - Huynh Thanh Nhan; Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports - Tran The Thuan.

The exhibition is considered a political and cultural activity of special significance, affirming the pioneering role, mettle and aspiration of Ho Chi Minh City in the process of national development. The event contributes to creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, encouraging the entire Party, government and people of the City to confidently and firmly enter the new era.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Ta Quoc Trung, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, emphasized that the merger of Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces from July 1, 2025 is a historic turning point, opening up a new development space with the vision of building an "international super city". The 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee is an opportunity to summarize the past journey, and at the same time set out directions, goals, and breakthrough solutions, bringing the City into a new era of development with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Creativity".

Delegates visiting the exhibition

The exhibition takes place from October 3 to October 18 at 7 locations: Nguyen Hue walking street; Dong Khoi street (in front of the Department of Culture and Sports and opposite Chi Lang Park); the area in front of Ho Chi Minh City Museum; Bach Dang walking street (Thu Dau Mot ward); Thuy Van square (Vung Tau ward) and Ba Ria square (Ba Ria ward).

At locations such as Nguyen Hue Street, Bach Dang Street, Thuy Van Square and Ba Ria Square, the Organizing Committee introduced 120 documentary images with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee: Confidently and firmly entering a new era, an era of national growth". The photo collection summarizes the City Party Congresses through many stages, reflecting the comprehensive development associated with the Party's guidelines and policies.

Opposite Chi Lang Park, 50 other photos with the theme "Promoting cultural values ​​and people of Ho Chi Minh City to build a creative city" honored the affectionate, benevolent, dynamic and creative identity of the city's people, while affirming the orientation to join the UNESCO creative cities network.

In the area in front of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, the exhibition displays 10 large-scale propaganda paintings with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City firmly steps under the glorious Party flag", demonstrating the solidarity, creativity, mettle and intelligence of the Party Committee, government and people of the City on the new journey.
