Affirming the position of Vietnamese science and technology in the international arena

On the evening of October 27, the Central Youth Union and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) held the 20th Anniversary Ceremony of the "Golden Globe" Science and Technology Award and presented the 2023 Science and Technology Awards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan welcomed and highly appreciated the Central Youth Union and the Ministry of Science and Technology for continuously taking initiatives and persistently coordinating to organize the "Golden Globe" Science and Technology Award and the Vietnam Science and Technology Female Student Award over the past 20 years.

The Vice President assessed that the young talents have excellent achievements, many research projects, products, and scientific and technological services, contributing to solving urgent problems of life and developing the socio-economy . The award contributes to affirming Vietnamese intelligence, affirming the position of Vietnamese science and technology in the international arena; spreading passion, creativity, and dedication in science to the young generation. At the same time, it recognizes and commends generations of young talents who have won the "Golden Globe" Science and Technology Award in the past 20 years and outstanding female students who won the Vietnam Science and Technology Female Student Award in 2023.

“To young scientists and talented students, I hope you will consider today's award as a recognition from the country for your important efforts; from there, you will have more motivation, positive energy, and continuous creativity to create more valuable scientific works and products, contributing to increasing labor productivity, improving the material and spiritual life of the people; and actively contributing to the development of the country", Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said.

Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet said that over the past 20 years of organization, the "Golden Globe" Science and Technology Award has been constantly innovated, supplemented with content, expanded in scope and subjects to implement the Party's policy on developing science and technology human resources to develop the country in specific stages, in accordance with the reality and trends of science and technology development in the world.

"From an award in the field of information technology, the 'Golden Globe' Science and Technology Award has continuously developed, becoming a place to discover and honor outstanding young scientists in key scientific fields such as: Biotechnology; Medical - Pharmaceutical Technology; Environmental Technology; Information Technology, Automation and Digital Transformation; New Materials Technology", Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed.

According to the Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Student Association, over the past 20 years, 204 outstanding individuals have been honored to receive the "Golden Globe" Science and Technology Award. After winning the Award, these individuals have made continuous efforts, continued to achieve success in their careers, and made positive contributions to the community and the development of the country. Many of them have become leaders and managers, holding important roles in science and technology agencies and organizations; many have committed themselves and succeeded on the path of entrepreneurship, becoming founders and leaders of large-scale technology enterprises, having an impact on the Vietnamese and world technology markets. In addition, many of them continue to affirm their research capacity with valuable scientific works in the scientific community.

“It can be said that the maturity of the young talented generations who won the Golden Globe Award is reflected in many aspects, but one thing they have in common is that most of them still maintain their passion for science and technology; at the same time, they inspire and motivate Vietnamese youth in their love and desire to conquer science and technology,” Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized.

Along with the goal of discovering and honoring female students with achievements in science and technology, spreading the creative learning movement in schools, the Award is also a way to contribute to the development of female human resources in the field of science and technology, proactively participating in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the national digital transformation.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 young talents the "Golden Globe" Science and Technology Award 2023; 20 female Vietnamese Science and Technology students 2023. Tan Hiep Phat and Phenikaa are the sponsors and companions of this year's Award.
