Khanh Hoa: Safely defused a bomb weighing over 150kg.

On December 17th, the Military Command of Khanh Hoa province announced that the unit had safely disposed of an MK81 bomb weighing over 150kg.

The recent historic floods caused erosion of the sand layer, exposing an unexploded bomb left over from the war, located within the property of a resident in Hamlet 1, Khanh Vinh Commune. Upon discovery, the residents promptly reported the incident to the local authorities and military agencies.

Upon receiving the report, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command, in coordination with local authorities, quickly deployed engineering troops along with officers and soldiers from the Dien Khanh Area 2 Defense Command to cordon off the scene and organize the evacuation of residents from the dangerous area.

The task force then approached and moved the bomb to the Khanh Hiep training ground (Trung Khanh Vinh commune) for safe detonation.
