Inauguration of the Great Unity Bridge

In Vinh Long, the Great Unity Bridge was inaugurated on November 20th, contributing to the completion of rural transportation infrastructure and demonstrating the joint efforts of the government, businesses, the Fatherland Front, and the people.

On November 20th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, in coordination with the People's Committee of Tan Phu commune and the Ben Tre Bridge and Road Engineering Science and Technology Association, held the inauguration ceremony for the Dai Doan Ket bridge in Ham Luong hamlet (Tan Phu commune, Vinh Long province). This project celebrates the successful conclusion of the first Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee and the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, for the 2025-2030 term.

The Dai Doan Ket Bridge is a 24.8-meter-long, reinforced concrete structure with a design load of approximately 11 tons; the bridge is 3.5 meters wide and consists of 3 spans with a clearance of 1.5 meters. The total investment and construction cost of over 1.1 billion VND was sponsored by Ben Thanh Gold, Silver and Gemstone Joint Stock Company of Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam-America English Language Center of Ho Chi Minh City, Chau Thoi 620 Concrete Joint Stock Company, and the Vietnam-Australia Seafood Group.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, the Resolution of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the First Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, term 2025-2030, clearly identify the strategic breakthrough in socio-economic infrastructure development, in which rural transportation is a key solution to promote development and improve people's lives. Social security work continues to be considered an important pillar in building national unity.

The completion and commissioning of the Great Unity Bridge carries profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the joint efforts of the Party, government, Fatherland Front, business community, and people in transforming the face of rural areas. The project not only fulfills the long-held aspirations of the people of Ham Luong hamlet but also contributes to the improvement of rural transportation infrastructure, promoting socio-economic development and the construction of advanced new rural areas in the locality.

At the inauguration ceremony, the organizing committee awarded Certificates of Commendation from the People's Committee of Vinh Long province to one collective and three individuals for their contributions to social charity work and the construction of the Dai Doan Ket bridge in Tan Phu commune, Vinh Long province in 2025. They also presented a donation of 100 million VND to the Vinh Long Provincial Education Promotion Fund, sponsored by Goholding Group.
