The Binh Minh Bridge in Quang Ninh, 2.6 km long, connects the two banks of Cua Luc Bay. Designed with 6 lanes for motor vehicles and a speed limit of 60 km/h, it was inaugurated on the morning of January 1st.

The Binh Minh Bridge connects to the main road of the FLC urban area in Ha Khanh ward at its starting point and intersects with National Highway 279 in Thong Nhat commune, Ha Long city at its end point. This is the first bridge in Quang Ninh province with 6 lanes for motor vehicles, a steel arch structure, sidewalks for pedestrians on both sides, viewing platforms, and flowerbeds.

The project, which commenced in late 2020, has a total investment of over 1,700 billion VND from the provincial budget. Compared to the initial design, Quang Ninh province decided to adjust the plan, replacing the access road with a bridge and shifting the route to follow the Dien Vong river channel, thereby minimizing the impact on approximately 70% of the mangrove forest area.

The project had to be constructed under difficult conditions such as the Covid-19 pandemic, delays in site handover, material shortages, and escalating prices. The investor and contractors implemented many appropriate construction measures, mobilizing maximum machinery, equipment, and engineering teams to ensure progress.

Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Chairman of Quang Ninh province, affirmed that the Binh Minh bridge contributes to the province's policy of developing and completing a strategic, synchronous, and modern infrastructure system.

"The bridge was named Binh Minh (Sunrise) after consultation with the people, symbolizing the connection and bond between the two sides of Cua Luc Bay, and a shared vision for developing Ha Long City into a national tourism center, reaching international standards," Mr. Huy said.
