Providing support for building houses for disadvantaged households and giving gifts to students
After more than 2 months of construction, Tu Ben Bridge was completed and put into use with a concrete structure, 3.8m wide, 26m long. During the construction process, organizations and individuals contributed 500 million VND. Of which, Mr. On Lam Chau and the Ho Chi Minh City "Homeland Love" Volunteer Group sponsored 150 million VND, the Nhan Ai Bridge Group 150 million VND, the Hope Fund 120 million VND, and the Nhu Ngoc Volunteer Group 80 million VND.
The total cost of building Tu Ben Bridge is 400 million VND. The remaining cost is transferred to the Commune's Fund for the Poor to support the construction of bridges, temporary houses and dilapidated houses according to the Government 's policy.
On this occasion, Kien Thanh Commune People's Committee presented 2 symbolic boards to support the cost of building houses for households in difficult circumstances, each worth 60 million VND. At the same time, 100 gifts were presented to primary school students in the area, with a total value of more than 10 million VND, sponsored by the Ho Chi Minh City Hometown Love Volunteer Group.
Cho Moi District People's Committee awarded 2 collectives and 3 outstanding individuals for their contributions to the rural bridge construction movement in Kien Thanh commune.
