Inauguration of the project to upgrade and renovate Huong Dien Martyrs Cemetery

HNN.VN - On the morning of July 19, the Management Board of Investment and Construction Project Area 2, together with related units, held the inauguration ceremony of the project to upgrade and renovate the items of Huong Dien Martyrs' Cemetery. Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Chi Tai, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The project to upgrade and renovate the Huong Dien NTLS items has a total investment of 2.3 billion VND, sponsored by the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (ViettinBank) - Nam Hue Branch. The project includes the following items: Removing the degraded floor tiles and re-paving them with ceramic tiles; renovating the bell house and the memorial house; removing the degraded plaster layer on some grave plots, cleaning all tombstones and monuments; paving some internal cemetery roads with blue stone with an area of ​​about 2,097 m2.

Huong Dien Martyrs' Cemetery was built in 1982, with an area of ​​37,042 m2, and is the resting place of more than 3,600 martyrs from all over the country.

On this occasion, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (ViettinBank) - Nam Hue Branch presented 10 gifts to policy families with difficult circumstances in Phong Thai ward, each gift worth 1 million VND.
