A typical example is the battle on February 8, 1966, which took place in Bau Chua hamlet, Cu Hoan village, Hai Thien commune (now Hai Dinh commune). After the battles to destroy the enemy in Hai Ba and Hai Que communes, the officers and soldiers of the mobile unit returned to Bau Chua hamlet and were discovered by the enemy gathering troops to attack. Although surprised, the officers and soldiers of Regiment 6 calmly deployed their formation to fight back, causing the enemy heavy losses.
