(Dan Tri Newspaper) - On the morning of September 21st, Hanoi inaugurated the new Children's Palace in Nam Tu Liem district and unveiled a plaque commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
On the morning of September 21st, at the Hanoi Children's Palace (My Dinh 2, Nam Tu Liem District), the Hanoi People's Committee held a ceremony to inaugurate and unveil a city-level project commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi. Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association; Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council; Mr. Ha Minh Hai, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee; along with many distinguished guests and children from Hanoi. Speaking at the event, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen expressed her confidence and expectations that the Children's Palace, with its new look and modern, spacious architecture, close to nature, and utilizing many high-quality smart devices, will play a significant role as a cultural and sports center, meeting the needs of children for activities, learning, playing, sports competitions, and physical training, thereby creating a favorable environment for the development of future talents of the city. "Continuing its fine historical tradition, the Hanoi Children's Palace will continue to innovate, making breakthroughs in quality, meeting social needs, contributing to the comprehensive education of the capital's young people, and deserving to be a place that nurtures dreams and allows childhood to soar , " the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee emphasized. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen presented the certificate recognizing the project as a commemorative work for the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi to the Director of the Project Management Board and the Director of the Hanoi Children's Palace. Central and city leaders, the Hanoi Youth Union, and the Hanoi Children's Palace Management Board jointly cut the ribbon to inaugurate the palace.
The Hanoi Children's Palace project in Nam Tu Liem district has a total investment of 1,376 billion VND on an area of nearly 40,000m2, with a construction floor area of approximately 10,280m2. The spacious, modern interior of building A of the project.
The complex includes an 800-seat theater; a 200-seat 3D-4D cinema; a 500-seat gymnasium; a 10-lane swimming pool; functional classrooms and a library; an astronomical tower… all equipped according to modern standards. In the photo, delegates, families, and children from Hanoi are experiencing the cinema rooms here. Currently, the complex has one 100-seat 3D cinema with a large screen and two smaller 3D and 4D cinemas. Inside the 800-seat theater, the grandstands are equipped with seats that can automatically retract to the floor with the push of a button. The project is currently awaiting final inspection of the fire safety system.
In addition to the inauguration ceremony, the Hanoi Children's Palace also opened its doors this morning for the public and children to visit and experience.
Many parents brought their young children to explore and experience the new playground and activity spot for children in the capital city this morning. Upon entering the gate, you'll find a 68-meter-tall astronomical tower, housing two binoculars and a large telescope. From here, you can easily admire the panoramic view of the city and learn about astronomy. In the evening, the tower is illuminated, resembling a large torch.
In building B, many children are happily enjoying the year-round swimming pool. This is a major project and the most modern facility for children in Vietnam, built with the expectation of meeting the learning, playing, entertainment, and sports training needs of children in Hanoi and throughout the country.
