Ribbon cutting ceremony and opening ceremony of Dinh Coc communal house festival in Tay Coc commune in 2024
Dinh Coc was built during the Early Ly Dynasty (544-602), worshiping two village tutelary gods, Hieu Cong Dai Vuong and Tham Cong Dai Vuong. After many historical events, the communal house was no longer intact. According to the wishes of the local people, Dinh Coc was rebuilt in September 2021. After nearly 3 years of construction, Dinh Coc was completed in the traditional Dinh-shaped architecture with an area of 298m2 in the old communal house area, Phuc Dinh village, Tay Coc commune. Currently, Dinh Coc still preserves 3 royal decrees at the Vietnam Institute of Han Nom Studies of the Nguyen Dynasty.Traditional ceremony
This year's Dinh Coc Festival, in addition to the solemn ceremony with traditional rituals such as palanquin procession, incense offering, and sacrifice, also has a festival with cultural exchange performances and many unique cultural activities to commemorate and show gratitude to our ancestors who contributed to building the country.
The newly built and put into use communal house shows the solidarity of the local people. This is not only a place for religious activities but also a place to educate the next generation about traditions so that they can continue to study and strive to build the homeland to become increasingly rich and civilized.
