Khanh Yen moves forward firmly when the Party is strong and the people are in agreement.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Yen commune have been united, creative, overcome difficulties, and achieved many important achievements in all fields. That success stems from the fact that the Party Committee of the commune has constantly innovated its leadership methods, improved its capacity, fighting strength and promoted its role as a political nucleus at the grassroots level.

Identifying mass mobilization work as the “key” to creating social consensus, the Khanh Yen Commune Party Committee focused on innovating working methods, regularly engaging in direct dialogue with the people from the very beginning, from the grassroots. Thereby, many difficult tasks such as donating land to open roads, improving traffic infrastructure, building new rural areas, etc. were effectively resolved, creating consensus and positive response from the people.

A typical example is the Lan 1 village Party Cell with 24 party members. Identifying the construction of new rural areas as a key task, the Party Cell issued a specialized resolution, assigning the Mass Mobilization Team to directly implement it with specific actions, linked to practice. Thanks to that, from 2023 to now, people in the village have actively participated in contributing to the construction of works, such as installing electricity on village roads, concreting production roads, residential roads, repairing cultural houses, etc.

Taking us on a tour of the nearly 1km long Nam Bo inter-village road, Lan 1 village Party Secretary - Vi Thi Thien said: The Nam Bo inter-village road was first expanded in 2014 but was only graded, serving the travel and production of more than 100 households in the village. After many years, the road has degraded, and it is even more difficult to travel during the rainy season. By August 2025, after many discussions in the Party cell, Party members and people agreed to donate land and contribute working days to pour concrete on the road. As a result, 15/15 households in Lan 1 village whose residential land and production land were affected by the road expansion agreed to donate 1,200 m2 of land; the commune government mobilized 100 tons of cement to complete this people's road.

With the propaganda of the Party Committee and the commune government on economic development, in 2016, Mr. Nguyen Truong Tam, En 1 village, boldly converted ineffective rice land with difficulty in water resources to grow high-value orange trees. With more than 3 hectares, Mr. Tam grows many types of fruit trees, such as oranges, sweet oranges, late-ripening oranges, dragon fruit, sapodilla, etc. Thanks to the change in crop structure, his family has a stable source of income, after deducting expenses, earning a profit of about 450 million VND/year.

For many years, Mr. Mai Duy Giap's family in Lang 1 village has no longer used 4,000 square meters of rice fields to grow winter crops. Instead, he added more water and bought carp to release into the fields. In 2024, Mr. Giap released 500 kg of fish, and after 3 months, he collected more than 600 kg. After deducting expenses, his family earned about 20 million VND from the winter fish crop. Mr. Giap shared: "Raising carp in the fields has advantages such as not requiring much care because the food source is quite available, carp can withstand the cold well, so this winter I continue to release 1 ton of fish." It is known that, realizing the economic potential of raising carp in the fields, the Khanh Yen Commune Party Committee has promoted and mobilized people in the commune to implement this model, which has now been expanded to 5 models in the villages: Lang 1, Lang 2, Bo, Bo 1 and Sung.

Success from the economic model of Mr. Tam's family, Mr. Giap... The Party Committee and the government of Khanh Yen commune have stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to actively change the structure of varieties and crops. At the same time, they support technical guidance, create conditions for households to borrow investment capital and find ways to link up to consume products. Up to now, the whole commune has had more than 100 hectares of ineffective rice land converted to growing citrus fruit trees; more than 10 hectares of carp farming bring high income to the people.

Khanh Yen Commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Khanh Yen Trung, Khanh Yen Ha and Liem Phu with 46 Party cells and 915 Party members. During the past term, the Party Committee of the commune has promoted the spirit of solidarity, unity, dynamism and creativity in leadership and direction, achieving many important results. A clear proof is that the Party building work was comprehensively implemented, from improving the quality of Party cell activities, establishing new Party cells, to developing Party members with 169 comrades admitted, exceeding the term target. The work of inspection, supervision and internal political protection was carried out seriously, promptly detecting and handling signs of disunity, thereby consolidating unity in the entire Party Committee. Training and fostering of cadres has been focused on. Up to now, 100% of commune cadres and civil servants have university degrees, 89.5% have intermediate or higher political theory qualifications, contributing to meeting task requirements in the new situation.

Thanks to the close and scientific leadership and high consensus of the people, every year, the Party Committee of the commune is recognized as having completed its tasks well or better, the rate of Party cells classified as having completed their tasks well is over 90% or more; Party members completing their tasks well every year is over 95%. The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations operate strongly, the great solidarity bloc of the whole people is consolidated. Notably, by the end of 2024, all 3 communes before the merger basically met the advanced new rural standards (Khanh Yen Trung met 18/19 criteria, Khanh Yen Ha met 17/19 criteria, Liem Phu met 18/19 criteria); in 2025, the average income reached 60 million VND/person, the poverty rate was 4.7%.

Promoting the achievements, in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Yen Commune Party Committee - Lo Thi Huyen Trang, said: "In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Commune Party Committee determined that the work of Party building and rectification continues to be a key task, of decisive significance to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals in the locality. In response to new requirements, we focus on innovating leadership methods, improving the capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations and the quality of cadres and party members. In addition, promoting the role of the people in monitoring, criticizing and participating in Party building is one of the consistent solutions to create consensus and trust among the people."
