Khanh Yen moves forward steadily with a strong Party and the people's consensus.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee, government, and people of Khanh Yen commune have united, shown solidarity, and demonstrated creativity, overcoming difficulties and achieving many important accomplishments in various fields. This success stems from the commune's Party Committee's continuous innovation in leadership methods, enhancement of capacity and fighting strength, and promotion of its role as the political nucleus at the grassroots level.

Recognizing that mass mobilization is the "key" to creating social consensus, the Party Committee of Khanh Yen commune has focused on innovating its approach, regularly engaging in direct dialogue with the people from an early stage, starting at the grassroots level. Through this, many difficult issues such as donating land for road construction, upgrading transportation infrastructure, and building new rural areas have been effectively resolved, creating consensus and positive response from the people.

A prime example is the Party Branch of Lan 1 village with 24 members. Identifying the construction of new rural areas as a key task, the Party Branch issued a specialized resolution, assigning the People's Mobilization Team to directly implement it through specific actions linked to practical realities. As a result, from 2023 to the present, the villagers have actively participated in contributing to the construction of various projects, such as installing village streetlights, concreting production and residential roads, and repairing the cultural house…

Leading us on a tour of the nearly 1km-long Nam Bo inter-village road, Vi Thi Thien, Secretary of the Lan 1 Village Party Branch, said: The Nam Bo inter-village road was first widened in 2014, but it was only a gravel road, serving the transportation and production needs of over 100 households in the village. After many years, the road deteriorated, becoming even more difficult to travel during the rainy season. In August 2025, after many discussions within the Party branch, Party members and residents agreed to donate land and contribute labor to pave the road with concrete. As a result, all 15 households in Lan 1 village whose residential and agricultural land was affected by the road widening project agreed to donate 1,200 m2 of land; the commune government mobilized 100 tons of cement to complete this community road.

Guided by the local Party committee and government on economic development, in 2016, Mr. Nguyen Truong Tam, from En 1 village, boldly converted his low-yielding rice fields, which faced water scarcity, to cultivate high-value yellow-fleshed oranges. With over 3 hectares, Mr. Tam grows various fruit trees, including yellow-fleshed oranges, sweet oranges, late-ripening oranges, dragon fruit, and sapodilla. Thanks to this crop diversification, his family enjoys a stable income, earning a profit of approximately 450 million VND per year after deducting expenses.

For many years now, the family of Mr. Mai Duy Giap in Lang 1 village has stopped using their 4,000 square meters of rice paddies to grow crops during the winter season. Instead, he has increased the water level and bought carp to release into the fields. In 2024, Mr. Giap released 500 kg of fish, and after 3 months, he harvested over 600 kg. After deducting expenses, his family earned a profit of about 20 million VND from the winter fish farming. Mr. Giap shared: “Raising carp in rice paddies has advantages such as requiring little care because the food source is readily available, and carp are able to withstand cold well, so this winter I will continue to release 1 ton of fish.” It is known that, recognizing the economic potential of raising carp in rice paddies, the Party Committee of Khanh Yen commune has propagated and encouraged people in the commune to implement this model, which has now been expanded to 5 models in the villages of Lang 1, Lang 2, Bo, Bo 1, and Sung.

Building on the success of the economic models of Mr. Tam's family, Mr. Giap's family, etc., the Party Committee and the government of Khanh Yen commune have intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage the people to actively transform the structure of crop varieties. At the same time, they have provided technical guidance, facilitated access to loans for investment, and sought ways to establish linkages for product consumption. To date, the entire commune has converted over 100 hectares of low-yield rice land to citrus fruit cultivation; and over 10 hectares of rice paddies for carp farming have brought high income to the people.

Khanh Yen commune was established by merging three communes: Khanh Yen Trung, Khanh Yen Ha, and Liem Phu, with 46 Party branches and 915 Party members. During the past term, the commune's Party Committee has fostered a spirit of unity, cohesion, dynamism, and creativity in leadership and guidance, achieving many important results. A clear example is the comprehensive implementation of Party building work, from improving the quality of Party branch activities and establishing new branches to developing Party members, with 169 comrades admitted, exceeding the term's target. Inspection, supervision, and internal political security work have been carried out seriously and promptly, detecting and addressing any signs of disunity, thereby consolidating unity throughout the Party Committee. Training and development of cadres has been emphasized; to date, 100% of commune officials and civil servants have university degrees, and 89.5% have political theory qualifications at the intermediate level or higher, contributing to meeting the requirements of the new situation.

Thanks to close and scientific leadership and high consensus among the people, the Party Committee of the commune is recognized annually as having successfully completed its tasks or better, with the percentage of Party branches classified as having successfully completed their tasks reaching over 90%; and the percentage of Party members successfully completing their tasks annually reaching over 95%. The Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations operate strongly, and the national unity bloc is consolidated. Notably, by the end of 2024, all three communes before the merger will basically meet the advanced new rural standards (Khanh Yen Trung achieved 18/19 criteria, Khanh Yen Ha achieved 17/19 criteria, and Liem Phu achieved 18/19 criteria); by 2025, the average income will reach 60 million VND/person, and the poverty rate will be 4.7%.

Building on the achievements of the past term, for the 2025-2030 term, Ms. Lo Thi Huyen Trang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Khanh Yen commune, stated: “For the 2025-2030 term, the commune Party Committee has identified the work of Party building and rectification as a key task, crucial to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals in the locality. Facing new demands, we are focusing on innovating leadership methods, improving the capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations, and enhancing the quality of cadres and Party members. In addition, promoting the role of the people in monitoring, providing feedback, and participating in Party building is one of the overarching solutions, aiming to create consensus and trust among the people.”

With a tradition of unity, a spirit of innovation, and high determination, the Party Committee of Khanh Yen commune is steadily progressing on its journey to build a clean and strong Party, leading the people in socio-economic development, and building an increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.
