Survey on developing tourism products 'Red Rain - Journey of Quang Tri memories'

QTO - In order to promote the positive effects of the film "Red Rain" and continue to diversify historical-revolutionary tourism products, on October 9-10, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCT) of Quang Tri coordinated with the Provincial Tourism Association to organize a survey program and develop the tourism product "Red Rain - Journey of Quang Tri memories".

The program was attended by nearly 40 delegates representing the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Tourism Promotion Center, travel agencies, accommodation establishments and tourism service businesses in the area.

During the 2-day journey, the delegation visited and learned about cultural and historical relics, places associated with heroic feats and memories of the nation recreated in the film Red Rain, such as: General Vo Nguyen Giap Memorial House, Vinh Moc Tunnels, General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Site, Quang Tri Citadel, and the flower-releasing dock on the southern bank of Thach Han River. These are all typical "red addresses", attracting a large number of tourists on their journey of gratitude and return to the source in Quang Tri.

Also during the survey trip, on the afternoon of October 10, in Dong Ha ward, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Provincial Tourism Association to organize a seminar on developing the tourism product "Red Rain - Journey of Quang Tri memories", with the participation of nearly 50 delegates from management agencies, tourism units and travel businesses.

At the seminar, representatives of travel businesses highly appreciated the potential for exploiting tourism products associated with the effects of the film Red Rain, and at the same time recommended the need to promote promotional activities, improve service quality at destinations and strengthen tour connections with neighboring provinces.

The survey program is an opportunity for management agencies and tourism businesses in the province to connect, exchange experiences, and create new products to serve visitors, especially young visitors who love historical experiences. This is also an important first step in building a unique tourism brand of Quang Tri - a land of memories, peace and aspirations.
