ZNews•01/12/2024 Besides awarding prizes to books in six categories of the National Book Awards, the Ministry of Information and Communications also acknowledged the efforts and creativity of publishing units in implementing the Ministry's new policies and directions. At the National Book Awards ceremony on the evening of November 29th, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung presented certificates of merit to the University of Pedagogy Publishing House and Dong A Culture Joint Stock Company for their achievement in publishing the book " History of Vietnam in Pictures "; the Information and Communications Publishing House and Pace Education Academy for their achievement in publishing the book " Strategy and Roadmap for Digital Transformation" ; Dan Tri Publishing House and Sbook Joint Stock Company for their book series "Reverse Thinking and Open Thinking" ; and the Textbook and Reference Book Department of the National Political Publishing House for publishing the valuable book series by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The book series by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, published by the National Political Publishing House, has systematized, preserved, and continues to disseminate the important ideological and theoretical values left behind by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. In the legacy of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, readers can find profound interpretations of the theory of the reform line and the path to socialism in Vietnam. The series is scientifically produced, contributing to bringing these ideological and theoretical values closer to cadres, Party members, the people, and international friends through modern publishing methods. The book "History of Vietnam" uses illustrations to paint a comprehensive portrait of the nation-building and national defense process, spanning from the appearance of the first ancient inhabitants on the territory to the formation of a modern nation as it is today. A significant portion of the value of "Vietnamese History in Pictures" comes from its rich and diverse collection of photographic artifacts, corresponding to each historical period, collected from museums both domestically and internationally, as well as private collections. Historical sites, temples, shrines, and monuments associated with prominent historical figures are also featured in this book as photographs to illustrate the text, making it more vivid. The entire book contains nearly 2,000 images and maps, giving readers the feeling of being in a museum at home, with concise and engaging explanations from guides – complementing the succinct text. With impressive sales figures in 2024, the book series "Reverse Thinking" and "Open Thinking" received a commendation from the Minister of Information and Communications .
