Closing the Thanh Hoa Vovinam Tournament 2025: Spreading martial arts spirit and improving health

VHO - After two days of exciting competition, on the afternoon of October 12, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the Vovinam tournament within the program of the 10th Thanh Hoa Provincial Sports Festival in 2025 ended with many professional marks, martial spirit and exciting sports atmosphere spreading throughout the province.

On the afternoon of October 12, the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of Vovinam within the framework of the 10th Thanh Hoa Provincial Sports Festival took place solemnly at the Provincial Labor Culture House, concluding two days of exciting and fierce competition.

The tournament gathered more than 300 athletes and coaches from 18 delegations from localities in the province, competing in 28 events.

In which, the combat content has 18 weight categories for men and women; the martial content includes 10 special competitions such as: Ngu Mon Quyen, Tu Tuong Coc Phap, Long Ho Quyen, Tinh Hoa Luong Nghi Kiem Phap, Song Luyen, Da Luyen Ba La, Women's Self-Defense, Men's Kicks...

According to the Organizing Committee, all participating delegations have carefully prepared in terms of forces and tactics.

Many intense matches took place, demonstrating the spirit of "Martial arts associated with martial arts" and the profound humanistic philosophy of the school "The iron hand must be placed on a compassionate heart".

Mr. Nguyen Duy Tu, Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: "This year's tournament is not only an opportunity for athletes to compete and practice their skills, but also contributes to spreading the martial spirit and arousing national pride among young people.

The results of the tournament will be an important basis for the province to select outstanding faces to supplement the Thanh Hoa Vovinam team, towards the 10th National Sports Congress in 2026."

Athletes compete in the combat event at the Vovinam tournament within the Thanh Hoa Provincial Sports Festival program.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 28 sets of medals for the competitions. The achievements of the delegations were included in the overall medal tally of the 10th Thanh Hoa Provincial Sports Festival.

The tournament not only encourages the Vovinam training and competition movement in the whole province, but also creates a bustling and exciting atmosphere among all classes of people.

This is also an opportunity for localities and units to evaluate the training process, discover young talents, and aim to improve Thanh Hoa's sports achievements in the national arena.
