According to the plan, from August 17 to 20, the Ministry of Education and Training will upload the admission results of all methods to the system, conduct 6 virtual filtering times to produce the final results. This process is to ensure that each candidate is only admitted to one highest wish, avoiding the situation of "virtual admission" causing difficulties for candidates and schools.
This year, the Ministry of Education and Training continues to maintain two virtual filtering groups in the North (hosted by Hanoi University of Science and Technology) and the South (hosted by Ho Chi Minh City National University). The last virtual filtering round ends at 4:30 p.m. on August 20.
After the virtual filtering process is complete, at 5:00 p.m. on August 20, training institutions will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system; review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule. Universities can announce the benchmark scores from 5:00 p.m. on August 20 and must announce the first round of admission results no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 22.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, a notable new point in this year's university admissions season is the regulation requiring schools to publish a table of equivalent admission scores between admission methods. This regulation aims to ensure consistency, objectivity and fairness for all candidates. The Ministry also requires schools to review secondary criteria and analyze admission data from previous years to determine appropriate virtual rates, ensuring that the number of admissions does not exceed the approved quota.
In 2025, the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training recorded nearly 850,000 candidates registering for admission with more than 7.6 million wishes. Thus, on average, each candidate registered for nearly 9 admission wishes.
