On the evening of August 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a telegram to units stating that the Politburo agreed to the policy of giving gifts to all Vietnamese citizens, each person 100,000 VND in cash on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This is a social security payment, disbursed by the State Treasury through commercial banks.

To ensure that gifts are given to people in full and on time before September 2, the State Treasury has just announced a change in payment transaction time with commercial banks during the National Day holiday on September 2.

Accordingly, during the holiday period, September 1-2, the State Treasury will continue to operate, carry out electronic bilateral payment operations and coordinate collection with commercial banks.

The "cut off time" - stopping accepting transactions during the day - is set at 16:00. The time to stop requesting settlement is 16:40.

In addition, the State Treasury is changing and standardizing the 8-digit bank codes of commercial banks where it opens accounts. However, to keep up with the progress of gift giving to people, this agency will temporarily suspend this and re-implement it when there is a new announcement.

The Treasury requires regional directors to direct their subordinate units to ensure the completion of tasks, and immediately report any arising problems to the Payment System Management Board for timely handling.

By the end of August 28, 18 banks had linked with the VNeID application to receive subsidies from social policies, including Agribank, VietinBank, BIDV, Vietcombank, LPBank, HDBank, MB, Sacombank, PVcomBank, TPBank, ShinhanBank, NCB, NamABank, Kienlongbank, Agribank, BVBank,ACB , Vikki Bank and Co-opBank.

In the near future, it may be possible to add banks linked to social security accounts on VNeID.

In addition, people can also receive subsidies through VNPT 's Mobile Money account.
