The event marks a strategic step in Viettel's high-tech infrastructure development orientation in the central region. This is the most modern high-tech office building in Da Nang , welcoming Da Nang city to officially operate under the new government model after the merger.
This will be the place to deploy key areas of telecommunications, information technology, logistics, aerospace, telecommunications electronics, artificial intelligence, network security, cloud computing... Viettel also orients the building to become an open ecosystem, supporting research cooperation, incubating solutions and developing technology human resources for the entire region.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, affirmed: Da Nang City today enters a new stage of development, with the goal of becoming an international financial center, developing free trade zones, seaport logistics systems and being a hub for developing science , technology, innovation, digital technology industry, and high-quality services in the Central Highlands region.
The city leaders highly appreciated the pioneering and leading role of Viettel Group in the fields of digital technology industry, high-tech defense and digital society creation. The investment in building Viettel Building right in the center of Hoa Cuong Ward demonstrates the strategic vision, as well as the commitment to long-term companionship with Da Nang city.
According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, Da Nang identifies the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the top important breakthrough and the main driving force in the city's socio-economic development.
Along with that, the National Assembly issued Resolution 136 on piloting a special mechanism for Da Nang's development to promote Da Nang to become a modern special economic zone, making an important contribution to the country's overall development. This is an important milestone, creating momentum for a strong transformation for the city in the new era.
Da Nang City identified one of the three breakthrough tasks in the 2025-2030 term as "Developing science, technology, innovation, digital transformation associated with developing high-quality human resources to serve creation, development, improving productivity, quality, and efficiency in all fields, with a GRDP growth rate of 11%/year or more".
“The city expects that the Viettel Building, which started construction today, will become a center for demonstrating Viettel’s most advanced digital technology solutions, where domestic and foreign businesses and organizations can visit, experience and connect to cooperate in the digital transformation process; support the deployment of digital platforms for smart governance, promote digital investment, digital finance and attract high-quality capital flows into the city; spread the spirit of innovation and digital transformation to the entire business community and investment ecosystem,” Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group, shared: We believe that, after completion, this building will not only be an architectural work of high aesthetic value, but will also become a symbol of the desire to conquer technology and for constant innovation.
The project contributes to the goal of turning Da Nang city into an economic, cultural, scientific and technological center reaching the regional level, side by side with the world.
Viettel Da Nang Building has a unique architecture inspired by the letter "V" - symbolizing the Viettel brand and the spirit of constant innovation.
The project consists of two main buildings, fully integrated with functions serving research, core technology development, product testing, data center operations and is the workplace of hundreds of experts, engineers and high-tech researchers. The project is built on an area of 80,000m2 with a total investment of about 3,000 billion VND.
Viettel Da Nang Building is expected to be completed in June 2027.
In Da Nang, Viettel plans to continue implementing two other important technology projects: Asia Link Cable (ALC) Da Nang submarine cable landing station, expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2025 in Ngu Hanh Son ward; Viettel Data Center in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2026, is the largest Uptime Tier 3 standard data center in the central region, with a capacity of 14MW - effectively serving the digital transformation process of the region.
