This year's program is taking place against the backdrop of saltwater intrusion not penetrating as deeply as in previous years, which is a positive sign but still not enough to reassure the people. Salinity intrusion remains a constant threat, affecting the livelihoods, drinking water, and living environment of people in the coastal provinces of the Mekong Delta.
With a spirit of sharing and social responsibility, the program donated 150 Plasman 500L vertical plastic water tanks and 25 RO water purifiers, totaling 500 million VND. The beneficiaries include disadvantaged households in areas affected by saltwater intrusion, who will receive water storage tanks. Local schools and health centers will be equipped with RO water purifiers to ensure a clean water supply for the community.
In Kien Giang province alone, the program also sponsored an additional house of compassion worth 50 million VND through Tien Phong Newspaper.

Mr. Le Van Son, General Director of HUD Kien Giang Company (Tan A Dai Thanh Group), representing the sponsor, shared: "Through the partnership with the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper, Tan A Dai Thanh Group wishes to contribute its small part to the program of adapting to saline intrusion in the Mekong Delta in the most practical way."
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thang, Head of the Mekong Delta Regional Representative Office of the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper, said: The program of donating water tanks and water filters to people in areas affected by saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta has been implemented for the past three years with the sponsorship of Tan A Dai Thanh Group. The program not only brings practical value but also contributes to spreading a humane message about community responsibility, working together to build a stable and sustainable life for the people of the Mekong Delta.
Launched in 2023, the program has provided 240 1,500L water tanks to people in 8 coastal provinces of the Mekong Delta. In 2024, the program expanded to include 250 plastic tanks and 50 RO water purifiers in 5 provinces of the Mekong Delta. In 2025, the program will launch a campaign to donate 150 Plasman 500L vertical plastic tanks and 25 RO water purifiers, with a total value of 500 million VND.
