To provide outstanding students in Vietnam with opportunities for learning, skill development, and international cultural exchange, the DB Kim Jun Ki Cultural Foundation is launching the DB Dream Leader Global Scholarship Program in Vietnam.

The program aims to award scholarships to outstanding students and provide development scholarships to two universities: Thang Long University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. A total of 30 students received scholarships, with 15 students from each university.

Each student will receive a scholarship worth approximately 20 million VND. Along with that, they will have the opportunity to participate in volunteer activities at community facilities, cultural exchange programs, and international volunteer activities between Vietnam and Korea.

At the launch ceremony of the DB Dream Leader Global scholarship project, held on September 26th at the headquarters of VNI Insurance and BSH, Mr. Kim Jeong Nam, Vice President of DB Insurance Group, expressed his hope that the scholarship project would be a solid stepping stone for students to become creative talents capable of leading society in the future.

“As President Ho Chi Minh once said: For the benefit of ten years, plant trees; for the benefit of a hundred years, cultivate people. The activities you participate in this program will be your first meaningful step in fulfilling your community responsibility and contributing to society,” said Mr. Kim Jeong Nam.

Mr. Truong Ngoc Kim, Vice Chairman of the Thang Long University Board of Directors, said that with the desire to create the best conditions for students to study, train, and develop themselves, as soon as they received information about the DB Dream Leader Global project, Thang Long University actively worked with relevant parties to quickly implement this scholarship program for students.

"In the context of Vietnam having recently experienced many difficulties due to natural disasters, the scholarship program is truly a timely and much-appreciated support. It not only helps students alleviate their financial burden but also serves as a great source of encouragement, motivating them to continue striving in their studies and participating in social activities," Mr. Truong Ngoc Kim emphasized.

The DB Kim Jun Ki Cultural Foundation was established in 1988 by Mr. Kim Jun Ki, the founder of DB Insurance Group. With the motto "The future belongs to those who dare to challenge their dreams and hopes," the foundation has invested 99 billion won to provide scholarships to 5,700 university students and organize many meaningful activities.

In South Korea, the Dream Leader scholarship program, launched in 2016, aims to select outstanding students from four-year universities nationwide. Beyond providing scholarships, the program also helps students become individuals who share and contribute through volunteer activities.

Held for the first time in Vietnam, the DB Dream Leader Global scholarship program promises to provide comprehensive development opportunities for Vietnamese students while contributing to positive impacts in the community.
