(Chinhphu.vn) - The Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security has initiated criminal proceedings against Hoang Thi Huong (commonly known as Hoang Huong) for violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences.

The Environmental Police Department, in coordination with the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security , has uncovered serious violations of accounting regulations occurring at companies and businesses within the Hoang Huong ecosystem. The head of this ecosystem previously appeared on social media as a successful businesswoman, confidently showcasing her wealth.

Hoang Huong also attracted attention due to a long list of violations related to advertising dietary supplements, derogatory remarks about the community, and controversial business activities.

Eighteen companies, 25 business households, and 44 individuals registered as business owners are part of the ecosystem established by Hoang Huong to sell functional foods, health supplements, and other products. Although she was the overall operator of the business, this was her way of justifying her actions.

To carry out tax evasion, Huong instructed her employees to falsely claim revenue from business households and individuals registered for business. Initial investigations determined that from January 2021 to June 2025, Hoang Huong kept nearly 1,800 billion VND in revenue off the books and incorrectly declared nearly 2,100 billion VND in Value Added Tax.

Following the violations, the investigative police agency of the Ministry of Public Security has initiated a criminal case and prosecuted six defendants for violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences, including Hoang Thi Huong, her two brothers-in-law, and three employees. The police are continuing to investigate other offenses committed by the suspects.

Hoang Huong (born in 1987 in Phu Tho province) is known as an entrepreneur operating in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Currently, on her personal social media pages, Hoang Huong introduces herself as the owner of the Hoang Huong Confident Smile International Dental Clinic chain in Hanoi .

Hoang Huong has been involved in numerous controversies related to her business activities and statements on social media. In 2020, she posted inaccurate information about the storm situation in Quang Binh, affecting the reputation and relief efforts of the local authorities.
