Ho Chi Minh City, May 18, 2024 – Continuing the exciting school sports activities, the Ho Chi Minh City School Festival Basketball Tournament - Nestlé MILO Cup 2024 officially kicked off on May 18 at Phu Tho Stadium (District 11, Ho Chi Minh City) attracted more than 1,500 students from 81 student sports teams from 22 districts to compete.

Within the framework of the Dynamic Vietnam program, the Ho Chi Minh City School Festival Basketball Tournament - Nestlé MILO Cup 2024 is one of the attractive tournaments in the school sports playground. The tournament will take place continuously from May 18 to June 9, organized by the City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the City Department of Education and Training, Ho Chi Minh City Basketball Federation with the companionship of Nestlé MILO brand for many consecutive years.

Committed to helping the young generation of Vietnam become more resilient, this year, Nestlé MILO continues to accompany the season as the main sponsor. The tournament will be a useful playground to help children practice dynamism, improve endurance and physical health, build respect, discipline, patience, resilience in victory and learning from failure.

Representative of Ho Chi Minh City Basketball Federation , Mr. Huynh Trong Khai, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Basketball Federation shared: “The Ho Chi Minh City School Festival Basketball Tournament - Nestlé MILO Cup 2024 is oriented towards long-term development, spreading the spirit of sportsmanship and constantly expanding in scale every year. We also respect and appreciate Nestlé MILO's companionship at this special meaningful event, as well as the brand's efforts to develop beneficial school sports activities for children. Through the tournament, children will have the opportunity to practice physical training and build endurance.”

This is also something that mothers in Vietnam are particularly interested in and prioritize. According to a survey conducted through Kantar Vietnam among 400 mothers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, 92% of mothers want their children to be more resilient so that they have enough energy to complete all activities during the day.

Over the years, Nestlé MILO has continuously improved and developed products that provide complete nutrients to help children be more resilient both physically and mentally. Also in this May, the brand will continue to accompany and implement attractive school sports tournaments such as the Final Round of the Ho Chi Minh City School Football Festival for the 2023-2024 school year; Summer Opening Ceremony, Children's Olympic Day & Launching the National Swim Training Campaign to Prevent Drowning in 2024, taking place on May 21 and May 26, respectively.
