Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung recently signed Document No. 530/TTg-NN dated May 19, 2026, from the Prime Minister's Office regarding strengthening and promoting the work of surveying and mapping cadastral records and completing the national land database.

Land surveying and mapping, land registration, cadastral record keeping, and completion of the national land database are important and urgent political tasks that must be completed in 2026 as required by the Politburo in Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW dated January 6, 2026, and directed by the Prime Minister in Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated February 13, 2026, and Notice No. 239/TB-VPCP dated May 8, 2026.

Although the local authorities have made many efforts to implement tasks and solutions to accelerate progress, there is not much time left for implementation, while the volume of work to be completed is very large.

To ensure the correct implementation of the Central Government's directives, on schedule and with quality, the Prime Minister requests that the Secretaries of the City and Provincial Party Committees directly lead and direct the Party Committees and People's Committees of provinces and cities to focus and decisively implement land surveying, cadastral mapping, land registration, cadastral record keeping, and completion of the national land database by 2026.

This includes focusing on reviewing the entire workload, developing detailed plans and schedules; clearly assigning responsibilities to agencies, units, and individuals in accordance with the "six clear principles"; and establishing a mechanism for regular monitoring, inspection, and evaluation of progress.

At the same time, promptly address difficulties and obstacles; strictly deal with organizations and individuals who are遅延 (delayed), irresponsible, or provide inaccurate reports.

Chairpersons of the People's Committees of provinces and cities are urged to promptly organize the full and effective implementation of the Central Government's directives and the assigned tasks in Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated February 13, 2026 and Notice No. 239/TB-VPCP dated May 8, 2026; and are responsible to the Prime Minister for the progress and quality of these tasks.
