Avoid putting pressure on students taking the 10th grade entrance exam.

For the first time being used as a testing site for the 10th grade entrance exam, Do Muoi High School (Hanoi) has completed preparations in terms of facilities, personnel, and contingency plans to ensure the exam takes place safely and in accordance with regulations.

Representatives from the examination centers stated that, in addition to strictly adhering to regulations, invigilators were also instructed to create a relaxed atmosphere and avoid adding further pressure to candidates during an already stressful exam.

Speaking with a reporter from Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, Mr. Le Dinh Chien, Deputy Principal of Thanh Oai B High School (Hanoi) and Head of the Do Muoi High School examination center for the 2016-2027 10th grade entrance exam, said that the examination center has a total of 39 examination rooms with 901 registered candidates. On the morning of May 29th, 4 candidates were absent.

Notably, one candidate arrived late at 9:40 AM but was still assisted by invigilators in completing the necessary procedures to enter the examination room as per regulations.

According to Mr. Chien, from 9 am, the invigilators were briefed on the regulations, then went to each examination room to guide the candidates, conduct a final check of the facilities, and report back to the head of the examination center if any problems arose. After review, all conditions for the exam are currently ensured.

"The candidates' information has also been thoroughly checked. To date, no cases of incorrect information requiring correction have been recorded," Mr. Chien said.

Out of a total of 39 examination rooms, 38 were for the English exam and 1 for the Japanese exam. The examination center mobilized 84 invigilators, 16 supervisors, and a support and logistics force totaling approximately 120 people.

Candidates were present in the examination room on the morning of May 29th.

Teacher Chien also noted that this year, candidates are no longer assigned to specific areas as before, so many students have to travel longer distances to reach the exam location. Therefore, the exam registration session is especially important, helping candidates familiarize themselves with the route, stabilize their psychology, and avoid unfortunate incidents on the official exam day.

"In Hanoi, traffic congestion is always a major issue during every exam period. The city, the Department of Education and Training, and local authorities have all developed plans to manage and regulate traffic flow to support candidates and parents," Mr. Chien said.

According to Mr. Chien, the full attendance of candidates during the registration process is not only to hear the regulations explained but also to help them best prepare psychologically and physically for the exam before the official exam day.

Regarding the facilities for the exam, representatives from the examination centers stated that all current conditions are fully prepared to ensure the best possible service for the candidates.

Accordingly, the classrooms, functional rooms, and the entire building have been equipped with modern facilities. The examination center has also developed contingency plans in case of power outages to ensure that candidates can take the exam without interruption.

In particular, the school's electrical system uses electronic locks, which caused some minor operational issues. However, the technical departments promptly resolved them, ensuring no disruption to the organization of the exam or the candidates' registration process.

In particular, the examination center is equipped with a high-capacity generator, capable of supplying power to the entire building in the event of a power outage. Prior to the exam, the generator system was inspected and tested to ensure stable operation. Therefore, even in the event of a power outage, candidates will still have sufficient lighting and conditions to take the exam without being negatively affected psychologically.

According to the exam center's assessment, the facilities are relatively favorable for candidates, especially given the hot weather. "Many schools in suburban areas still lack air conditioning. Meanwhile, at this exam center, all basic amenities have been meticulously prepared," a representative from the exam center stated.

Up to this point, all activities at the examination site have proceeded according to regulations, smoothly and safely. Officials and supervisors have performed their duties with a high sense of responsibility, while also creating a comfortable atmosphere for the candidates.

"The exam already creates a lot of pressure, so we always emphasize the importance of adhering to the regulations but without adding further stress to the students," teacher Le Dinh Chien stressed.

Sending words of encouragement to the candidates before the exam, Head of the examination center Le Dinh Chien said that the teachers who directly taught them and their families had provided a lot of encouragement and reminders to the students throughout the review process.

"What we want to tell the candidates is to stay calm, confident, do their best on the exam, and achieve the results they desire," Mr. Chien said.

In addition to sending best wishes to the candidates at the Do Muoi High School examination center, representatives also wished all students participating in the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi a smooth, safe, and successful exam.
